Well the day came and went. I had no choice but to use my 01 Denali to pull my 30ft 7900lb toyhauler over the weekend. It actually surprised me. With minor mods and a cookie cutter tune I managed to pull 209 miles on a tank of fuel and still had a little under a 1/4 tank left. My average speed...
Thanks! Ths is why I ask questions. I don't know everything. I will research this. Gives me more options

I called comp cams and I was shocked at the cam I was recommended. I told him what I needed it for and that I had no power adder

Seems rather small to me
Im not trying to go the fabrication route. Reliability is a factor. With a wife and three kids ride along on long trip everything must go smooth. No one that I know of has a bolt on turbo kit for this truck.
Can you point me in the right direction on a set of 4.10 gears. I wanted to do the swap but can't seem to find 4.10 gears fro the front axle.
The guys at Blackbear are gonna hook me up with the tune. I just need to pull the trigger on the power adder
Your the second person this week to tell me about the bully dog tuner. I think I'm gonna go with a Supercharger though. I just have to figure out if i want a new Magnuson or buy this used Vortech. The used one of course will save me a lot of money but which one is better. I dont want to buy the...
If I may ask, What is your cam number and do you have a 6.0 in your truck? Reason I ask is putting a performance cam in a 5.3 and trying to use the same cam in a 6.0 will yield different results.

Im sorry for jacking your thread but how do you like your whipple charger? I'm thinking about doing one on my 2001 denali. Any pros and cons would be greatly appriciated.
P.S. might want to check for carbon build up. Even with a new egr valve carbon may be your enemy.

6.0 engine. 3.73 gears. That was my thought on the supercharger also. I just wanted some feedback from people that have done it. I'm not looking for all out maximum performance. Just a little more torque really. Torque is what gets you moving. After I take off from the light its fine. Even...
I hear you. The only thing is I really dont want to buy another truck right now. I pull a 6000lb toy hauler. That is the total weight give or take a 100lbs or so. The cost os a new truck for 8 weekends out of the year does not make sense to me. We use the truck for family trips more than I do...
Hello guys! Its been a while since I have posted. I've been a little busy racing. Anyway....I just got a new 30ft toy hauler trailer and while my 2001 denali pulls it, I feel I need a little more power. I have been looking at rebuilding the engine with better internals or just doing a...
Its for the end bolts that always break. They go for either side. One kit does on bolt. The website has photos I think.

Hello guys! It's been a long time since I've posted but I have a good experience that I wanted to share and may help someone else. My truck had and exhaust leak froma broken bolt on the exhaust manifld flange. I couldn't get a drill in the spot to fix it (drivers rear). I was just searchingthe...
Can someone post a picture of their bump stops with just 2 inch keys installed? I want to see how much is trimmed off. I think my denali is bottoming out in the front. I looked under the truck yesterday and the bump stops are just about gone. I mean the cup is still there but almost no bumb...
285/45/22..Its roughly the same diameter as the 17 inch tires that came off. You would thing that the 22's would ride worse that the 17's but to me it feels better. It feels more stable more controllable. I did loose a little bit of accelaration but that's ok. I'm not racing the truck:)
To...
Got the wheels on
I just put the wheels on about 30 min ago. Its getting dark and my cell phone camera is crappy. The picture does not give an accurate view of the truck to me, it looks better in person. Still gotta clean it up and get a ding in the door fixed but here is the rough draft:
I found out what the problem was. I thought the front was the problem but all along it was the rear. I didnt trim enough of the rear bumpstop and it was bottoming out very bad. so bad that it shook the entire truck. I just trimmed it some more and now I feel it rides just as I figured it would...
I did a little researching and found this article:
http://www.truckinweb.com/tech/0307tr_belltech_suv_lowering_kit/index.html
I thought this is what they where talking about.
Anyway..my rear is fine. It does not bother me like the front does. I have the rear bump stops trimmed like the...
can you take a picture of your front control arm area wher the jounce stop used to be? I would like to see how it looks before I go remoing things.
Kev
Man your truck is beutiful!!! I wish I had bought TBSS wheels now..
I have a question on the bump stop deal. Are you guys completly removin the front bump stops and the bracket? My bump stops are completly worn out and Im wondering shold I replace them or remove them? I only have keys. It...
