Added an Escalade 12-14 Dual Exhaust Bumper

Found a complete rear bumper assembly locally from a 2014 Escalade ESV Platinum in the same color for cheap this week. Fabbing up the exhaust this week, just going to remove the rear resonator and Y it out to the tail pipe sleeves. I'll post pictures of the finished product. This 2007 Denali...

    Finally doing rear seal job

Same story here too. The RMS itself was probably fine, but the gasket was flat. I had a small leak from the cover gasket combined with a small leak from the torque converter seals. The transmission shaft o-ring (24219390) was rock hard and felt like plastic and the torque converter seal...

    Finally doing rear seal job

Yes, it is a drop in 212/220 version. The front of the cam is 3 bolts despite what the rear looks like. VVT was deleted.

    Finally doing rear seal job

They are the PPV 16" brakes. Had them for a year now and still love them. Been just chipping away at this after work this week. Got the trans bolted back up with a new torque converter. Transfer case went back in with a new output shaft seal (89059495). There's a chance it all gets wrapped up...

    Finally doing rear seal job

Haven't had to do much maintenance this last year ever since resealing most all of the engine gaskets, but still had a small leak from the rear seal. Finally pulled the trans today. This week I'll be putting on a new rear cover/seal, new torque converter seals (24237531 & 24219390) and a new...

Installing "2021 PPV" style 6-Piston Brembo Front Brakes on a 2007 Yukon Denali

Just checking in, I've logged over 6000 miles on this setup now and it has performed excellent. Towed a small Bobcat skid steer (~5000lbs w/ trailer) with no trailer brakes and braking was completely adequate. I did have to grease up the pad slides a month ago as it developed a slight squeak but...

Installing "2021 PPV" style 6-Piston Brembo Front Brakes on a 2007 Yukon Denali

Direct bolt on to the knuckle. You just need some washers as described in one of the early posts to space the caliper out a hair so it is centered around the rotor. I've logged over 1000 trouble free miles on this setup now and could never go back.

    Time for Ball Joints, etc?

The list looks good. It covers all the things you'll touch except the struts. Might want to consider inner tie rod boots too if doing inner tie rods. I used Moog K150419. Cheap and you don't need them til you realize you need them. If you do the sway bar bushings, hit the 4 bolts with plenty...

Installing "2021 PPV" style 6-Piston Brembo Front Brakes on a 2007 Yukon Denali

From your post it sounds like you did the calipers and brackets from the CTSV website. Did you use those or the PPV calipers bolted directly to the knuckle? Once we get past this deep freeze and snow out here in the Black Hills I'll get some pictures of the rotor/pad fitment on my truck...

Installing "2021 PPV" style 6-Piston Brembo Front Brakes on a 2007 Yukon Denali

I don't see the overhang at all. Maybe you used different pads but the pads I used are perfectly flush with the edge of the rotor. They are the right pads for these rotors. What is the part number of the Power Stop and Raybestos rotors?

Installing "2021 PPV" style 6-Piston Brembo Front Brakes on a 2007 Yukon Denali

Good to know, I will inspect it tomorrow to see if the pad is slightly too large for the rotor. I'll report back. Done about 300 miles and this setup makes the braking effortless on this truck. Love it.

Installing "2021 PPV" style 6-Piston Brembo Front Brakes on a 2007 Yukon Denali

The Sierra Honeycomb 20" wheels clear with ease as well. There is more than a fingers worth of room between the spokes and the caliper.

Installing "2021 PPV" style 6-Piston Brembo Front Brakes on a 2007 Yukon Denali

On my 2007 a thin fender washer was needed to center the caliper on the rotor. The washer is about the thickness of a dime with a 9/16" center hole. My hardware store didn't have the right size in the thickness (thinness) that was needed so I got thin 3/8" center hole washers and drilled the...

Installing "2021 PPV" style 6-Piston Brembo Front Brakes on a 2007 Yukon Denali

This thread has the all the information I found to be relevant for upgrading to 6 piston Brembo calipers on a 2007-2014 generation model in the most cost effective way possible. There may be small differences here and there, but you'll get the idea. For reference in the pictures my calipers are...

07 Yukon Denali - Passenger Side Top/Rear Oil Leak

If I were to do it again I'd piece together the VVT delete kit myself. The plug and play VVT delete harness from Michigan Motorsports has the wrong connectors for my application. Just take your stock harness and remove the wires and 2 pins for the VVT magnet, piece of cake. Here is a misc dump...

07 Yukon Denali - Passenger Side Top/Rear Oil Leak

All the work is done and the tune is loaded. Truck is running fantastic. Only went about 20 miles tonight but completely error free, great oil pressure, and it has picked up quite a bit up power up top. Hardly any difference in sound at idle, nice and quiet.

07 Yukon Denali - Passenger Side Top/Rear Oil Leak

Timing is all set. Everything is going smoothly so far. Should have the cam tomorrow. In the front I'll be replacing the phaser for the non-VVT sprocket, new timing guide, timing chain, and cam retainer plate. Tomorrow when I wrap up some actual work, I'll pull the valve covers, remove the...

07 Yukon Denali - Passenger Side Top/Rear Oil Leak

It looks like that in person too. No idea, I've only owned this truck for a little over a month. No other signs of scrapes on the underside of the car -- I imagine they dented it when the transmission was off previously. PO said the torque converter was replaced at some point. When I do a...

07 Yukon Denali - Passenger Side Top/Rear Oil Leak

A lot going on this weekend, VVT delete and a cam going in, plus I decided to bite the bullet and drop the oil pan again to put in a Melling M295 oil pump while I'm at it. Doing some prep work tonight, pulled the front diff off, 2nd time around it came off in about 30-45 minutes. Previous...

Low oil pressure at idle, pulling my hair out, looking for any and all options.

Keep us posted. Lights are still all off for me with just the Lucas. All my VVT delete parts will be here by Friday. VVT delete kit, Cam Motion Stg 2 low-lift 6.2 truck cam, BB Autocal tune. I'll be tackling it this weekend.

Low oil pressure at idle, pulling my hair out, looking for any and all options.

While I'm not a fan of oil additives, I did drain out a qt of oil and added a bottle of Lucas Pure Synthetic Oil Stabilizer in the interim to see if boosting up the oil viscosity helped as an experiment. Well, it has. Driven about 250 miles and given the truck plenty of chances to trigger the...

Low oil pressure at idle, pulling my hair out, looking for any and all options.

I found your old build thread last night and am convinced on the Cam Motion route for a 6.2 specific cam, except I'd just do a low lift Stage 1 as I don't want to mess with valves right now. BB also isn't far from me so I'd probably end up going that route too. The more I think about it, the...

Low oil pressure at idle, pulling my hair out, looking for any and all options.

I'm in the same boat as you with my 07 with 230k. I've been battling a P0011 code. My oil pressure is actually pretty great and the truck honestly runs phenomenally. 80% of the time its Stabilitrak/Traction lights only that come on. 20% of the time it triggers a CEL. Either way, a P0011 code is...

07 Yukon Denali - Passenger Side Top/Rear Oil Leak

Good to know. Thankfully I have hoists as well, so like you it seems less daunting. It's just nuts and bolts after all. Part of me thinks I'm a little crazy doing all this on a 230k mile truck that I've only driven about 800 miles~ since purchasing, but it's one of those cars that you just know...
