Anyone know who sells heim outer tie rods?
I can only find the whole inner and outer kits. But I’m trying to keep a fused link in between the knuckle and steering rack
I need to go a little taller on my 2015i gmc Yukon xl.
I’ve noticed the cv axle is what is current limiting any additional droop or lift.
I need to raise the vehicle about 1.25” to get it level. (Z71 suburban height level)
So longer cv axles is what is needed so I can utilize the whole shock...
We installed a RTT on our Yukon xl Denali that was running the border patrol spec rear springs. Rated at 225# rate iirc.
The dobinsons c09-045 are 245# I think… and just a hair longer. Like maybe 1/3 inch.
It lifted the rear 2/3” and tightened the rear up greatly. No more packing on the rear...
My stock rear arms on my 2015 are toast.
Everyone says the spohn stuff fails too quick.
The Apoc stuff looks great but I worry it won’t allow full articulation.
What are people using for off-road that allow full articulation?
oem starter seemed to be going out so I checked ac delco, and a couple dealership online parts companies for the correct starter. All came up with
12736813 Starter
for a new starter.
Trying to get it installed. But it wont seem to fit. It is a little different than the oem one. The "hood"...
My buddy tweedy (birdman automotive photography) just got these on his vehicle.
5” shock travel, so needs a high angle upper control arm I believe… 600 or 650 spring choice. I think he went with 650
There is an option for a dual speed compression adjuster. But they offer tuning options when...
So there is a company out there making 3.0 coilovers for the front of the Gm 1500 platform which our vehicles are part of.
But they don’t make anything for the back. You need to modify a truck 1500 rear 2.5 piggyback shocks to make it fit.
I asked the owner of Carbon to make me a 3.0 top cap...
The radiator on my 2015i 6.2l 4wd 8 speed yukon XL Denali decided to start leaking on the drivers side.
Trying to determine which is the best option to put in and if there are any features I need to be aware of since I think the yukon xl denalis all have the max tow options.
I do offroad this...
Came across these for another build I’m doing.
But a 10 day eta on them. Dual speed compression adjuster which is awesome.
Tuned for your use (try getting that from king or fox. Those you’d have to go through a master dealer and pay $100 per shock).
King race series and fox factory series...
My 2015i drivers side sway bar link broke
I am running a little taller than stock. Maybe 1 inch… maybe 1.5”
Who makes good quality links? I’m seeing a bunch of no name companies but fear crappy rubber…
I have hawk lts pads on the truck now. And they are dusty… super super dusty. Oh well.
They aren’t bad but they are not amazing. And it’s time already for new pads. We go through brake pads here fast.
So it was between the hps and hps 5.0… so I decided to take the bigger jump away from the lts...
I’m trying to make plans. I still can’t find any decent shops near me that can either rebuild an 8l90 or swap one in.
I’d like to regear when I do this. Idk why I kept reading the 2015 gmc Yukon Denali xl had 3.42 gears. It apparently has 3.23 gearing which would better explain things.
I’d...
I want to regear my 2015i GMC yukon denali Xl... it has the 3.23 final drive with the 8 speed. The reality is it just hunts 7the and 8th on the freeway and sometimes 6th.
Additionally I have a camping trailer which isnt heavy, but it did make things a little worse driving up to tahoe a couple...
Anybody have any ideas on adding front bump stops with factory arms?
Offroad, and even just crappy roads on road and the front just gets hammered.
Even with a 2.5” coilover and 600# spring and the bump on the coilover shaft… it’s just not enough.
I truly wonder if this is why the magnetic...
I’m getting the “service brake controller” code and it is said that the common fix is a new brake controller switch.
I can’t find it on the gmc parts website.
Anyone know what the correct part number is for a 2015 gmc Yukon Denali Xl?
Im tired, the kid is sick. I can’t remember if it’s called the ranger or what.
But the little module that plugs into the obd port to turn off the cylinder deactivation.
I have a 2015 6.2 GMC Yukon.
I don’t have anyone at the moment who I can have it shipped to and then reship it.
I get it. The RC lifts are bro truck lifts and not what you’d want if you are hammering the desert.
But they make a forged UCA for our trucks. The inner joints seem to be a combined derlin and softer rubber. So not too stiff but not so soft it’s terrible.
The nice thing for daily drivers is...
I’m debating a gear change on my 2015i GMC Yukon XL.
I have the 3.43 gears I believe.
We don’t do much freeway driving… however when I changed my 3.42 geared colorado with the 8l45 (same gear ratio as our 8l90) to a 4.56 gear set…. I actually got 2mpg better on the freeway.
It made 6,7 and...
I’ve been posting a couple videos about converting the last gen Yukon Denali xl to coilover and remote reservoir rear shocks.
Some of it relates.
Leave me some questions you have. I am friends with the guy who runs ADS racing so I can get answers or details if you want.
Also happy to give...
I posted a quick video about my review on the ADS racing coilovers.
I didn’t want to get into a long drawn out video with never ending details. Which I usually do. I tend to get too deep into tech.
Give it a watch and leave a message as to what details you want and I’ll upload another vid with...
ADS racing suspension coilover up front, and today, will be lift springs and remote reservoir shocks out back. As well as suburban z71 bumps.
It’s going to lift the vehicle about 2 inches I think.
This is a 2015 Yukon Denali XL.
(And of course the little fooler plugs)
Call ads and tell...
For you folks that are running fox and king coilovers….
What spring rate are you running? Also what length?
For instance it will say 1300.300.600 which means 13 inch free length, 3 inch ID, and 600 lb rate.
Or maybe it will say 1400.300.550 which means 14 inch free length, 3 inch id and 550...
I used to have the pn written down. I lost it.
I’m looking for the border patrol suburban/Tahoe rear spring part number.
Can’t find it anywhere and the local dealer said they can’t find it.
I am looking for a lift rear spring. Not a level kit. An actual new spring. Some have mentioned the border patrol spring or the z71 spring. Can anyone confirm?
I have a 2015i Yukon XL Denali.
Also, does anyone know what the inner diameter of the rear spring is? I am going to put a Firestone...
