I'm having to remove all the wiring around the steering column so I can replace my clockspring harness. I'm down to the last item but I can't figure out how to get it out. It's got a plastic pin that drops into the ignition cylinder and I'm afriad to break it. Is there an easy way to get it out?
You're exactly right. I bought this Tahoe as a project and I'm learning something new daily. I really appreciate the support here. Sometimes I post stuff up here and then I solve it so if anyone else is having the same issue they can see how it was resolved.
Lol... Yup, I broke it myself. I spun the wheel around a few times when I first pulled it out. I didn't know that I shouldn't do that. Live and learn.

I thought I was careful but maybe I did something. :/ Would spinning the wheel all the way around a few times after it's been disconnected from the shaft cause that? I didn't feel anything caught when that happened.
Well... small update. It occurred to me that I hadn't cleared the codes AFTER I put everything back in. So I cleared them and now I'm down to 3 codes so I'm feeling much better. lol
B0026, B0043 and B0044 which looks like it has something to do with the clock spring. Is it common for those...
Awesome... another issue to resolve.
After replacing my heater core (thanks to many of you for the help) I decided to pull out all the seats and carpet to vacuum out all the dirt under the padding and to also shampoo the entire carpet outside of the car. It's been a week-long project and I...
I switched out to the correct T connector and that actually didn't fix the problem. The return line was still lukewarm while the other line to the heater core was really hot. I decided to backflush the lines by disconnecting them in the engine compartment and attaching a water hose to one...
I'm doing a search on Ebay and it looks like the FOB number has an OEM with the key. Am I reading it wrong? Here is what I'm looking at.

I appreciate the encouragement all! Although I've had some stumbles, I really have enjoyed the process I'm going through and what all left I have. I'm very glad to know I have some good people that are willing to give me the directions along the way. :)
Figured it out. I'm an idiot. I thought that the T hose connectors on the heater core were the same, so I used 2 black ones. Turns out one of them is the white one and it's a limiter. Attention to detail I guess isn't my strong suit. :/
I haven't been home to check this yet but I do have a question. The T connectors for the heater core coming into the engine compartment (where the two relay lines run) are they supposed to be the same, right? They aren't two different types of connectors, are they?
I have the core in and no more leaking. Woohoo!
Next issue... I was testing out the heat inside and I noticed the back air is blowing cold even after 30 minutes. Feeling the metal lines coming off the heater core T fitting I noticed that one line is very hot and the other one is just...
I tried it anyway just because I was curious and it leaked. lol I'm glad I tried it though because I would have always wondered. I took it out and put in my backup plan with the piece I cut from one in the junkyard with rubber tubing and hose clamps. It seems to be working just fine and the...
I thought about it but I thought that the bevel needed to push up into the seal. I might try it and if it leaks go my patch route. Thanks for the input!
Great minds think alike. I did that exact thing. I bought high temp rubber tubing that is snug around it with a few small hose clamps. I think it's going to work great. I'll put pictures up when I'm done.
Ok, I think I know what I'm going to try. I've ordered one of these types of connections and I'll just use rubber tubing to connect my original line to that smaller clip-in. Basically I'm still connecting the line with rubber tubing like I planned to do but I won't have to cut my line at all...
