What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

TIL that the oil pressure sender is also the oil temperature sender. Due to everyone saying it's a PITA, I was considering doing a remote hose if/when I have to replace the sender, but I probably won't do that now because that'd make the temperature reading completely useless. OTOH, being an...

You're welcome. No, this is not because it's depositing anything, it's because it's "melting" the materials -- you will not be able to wipe off the damage.

Be very judicious in using an ozone generator. Too much usage will make plastic/rubber damaged/sticky, and think of how much of our vehicles' interiors are made of that. Why did the dealer use that stuff in your vehicle anyhow?

Brake Hose Confusion -- Are 2013-2014 Rear Frame-to-Axle Hoses Different Than 2007-2012?

I don't care about looks, and I'm keeping the Tahoe as stock looking as possible anyhow. I like the improvement in feel, which has been noticeable with other cars I've installed stainless braided lines in (including one where the OE style were fairly new, so it's not solely an unrealistic old...

    2008 Tahoe Engine squealing

This is a long shot, but is the transmission bellhousing tight to the engine? A friend's car once had that and there was enough flex to make the clutch/throwout squeal (yes, I know this is an automatic).

Brake Hose Confusion -- Are 2013-2014 Rear Frame-to-Axle Hoses Different Than 2007-2012?

That's how you get banned from places like Amazon. Seriously, they regularly do this to folks who return a high percentage of orders, and it's usually women returning clothing. I've returned maybe three or four things to Amazon because they were absolute crap, or were disgusting (in...

Brake Hose Confusion -- Are 2013-2014 Rear Frame-to-Axle Hoses Different Than 2007-2012?

That's a good idea in general, but in this instance it'll be logistically easier for me to buy a few different sets at once and then return the ones that won't work.

Brake Hose Confusion -- Are 2013-2014 Rear Frame-to-Axle Hoses Different Than 2007-2012?

OK, so it seems the AXN hoses are the shorter ones, not the longer ones (NAPA agrees on this point). Which says the longer standard axle hoses will work with the AXN, but I suspect the AXN hoses will not work with the standard axle. I guess I'll have to go with braided stainless for the four...

Brake Hose Confusion -- Are 2013-2014 Rear Frame-to-Axle Hoses Different Than 2007-2012?

Y'all, I am about to swap out the six original brake flex hoses on my '13 Tahoe LTZ (2WD with the standard axle [not an AXN/14-bolt/9.5"]) and the application info from various manufacturers has me questioning what will fit for the pair of frame-to-axle hoses. Many manufacturers/sites only...

As someone who has been heavily involved in the BMW enthusiast world for over three decades, I have to give you a friendly "I call BS." Exactly what body/model were you on the boards for? Outside of Z8s or brand-new 7-Series, I cannot see that. The only real opposition I see on BMW boards is...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

On other vehicles, I've made a spreader with an appropriately-sized bolt with a nut run all the way up and a washer below the nut (i.e. away from the bolt head), installed that between the flanges, and then turned the nut away from the bolt head, thus pushing the flanges apart. Get a bolt with...

Air Lift 1000 Helper Springs with OE compressor, etc.

That's a key detail I hadn't picked up on. I take that to mean that Trailblazer springs are significantly shorter than Tahoe springs.

Air Lift 1000 Helper Springs with OE compressor, etc.

While I have not done so myself, there are a number of discussions in the forum that explain that Trailblazer airbags will fit inside the springs and are compatible with the original compressor.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

A lot of customer "service" like this is them hoping you will just go away, which is pretty absurd for something you absolutely cannot use. Or putting the customer through a bunch of burdensome tasks to prove something, again hoping you'll go away. I'd gotten a Danby dehumidifier at Costco...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

The Pull-A-Part locations around Atlanta do that by breaching the item with the fluid, usually via an air hammer splitting chisel. This means they destroy perfectly good gas tanks, oil pans, trans pans, etc. Way back when I had a Mercedes W123 300td Turbodiesel*, I ran across a Euro W123 with...

Kbuskill's 2008 Burb LTZ "MOD" Thread

That's the sort of thing I'm prone to doing! Hella's version runs $65-$80, depending on the supplier. The adjustability is nice, but not $50 more nice.

Kbuskill's 2008 Burb LTZ "MOD" Thread

I dig it! I've been considering the same, because the level of tint on my front windows means that you can't see sh** at night when turning and I often lower the window to see what I'm turning into. Did you use a "delay off" relay in the circuit?

Was there an increase in NVH from these? I am not opposed to increased NVH if the benefit is greater than the detriment. I have poly, solid, and/or Johnny Joint components amongst my three other vehicles and the tradeoff is worth it in those, but I'm trying to keep my Tahoe as nice of a ride...

DOD Delete - "Stock" or stage 1 cam? VVT Delete?

Do you (or anyone else) know how they're tuning to stay on 87 and get that MPG increase? One would think there wasn't much margin to achieve that, or else GM would have already done so.

Revert back to OEM Z55 suspension, good or bad idea?

I've never seen a mount restricted in that manner, but the angle along the axis won't matter. The spring is still concentric with the strut and the "ramps" on the insulator will keep the forces distributed against the mount.
