    Exhaust Mod Recommendations

Perfect… and thank you. Exactly what I was looking for. I was wondering about the 70 series. Turning 49 this year so comfort is taking over vs. cool!

    Exhaust Mod Recommendations

I know there are a thousand opinions out there on exhaust upgrades. My last 05 Yukon I put a 50 series flowmaster. A great sound with just the right rumble. However, trucking down the freeway, the cab noise was a little much. My new rig, 03 Tahoe, I want to do something similar, but maybe...

A Sad Day on Friday the 13th

Great perspective!! Actually I’ve already acquired a new one. 2003 Tahoe, with only 110k. But you are right, it’s definitely not the same. The Yukon will be missed, but now onto this new project.

A Sad Day on Friday the 13th

You said it best…. The silver lining is the truck kept us safe. Not a scratch. Imagine a Prius! Great idea on parting it out.

A Sad Day on Friday the 13th

Yeah think the floor board is pushed in. Truck that plowed us had a cow tipper bumper with *****. From my view the wheel and front end is fixable, fender and door fixable… that lower cab and frame tho … gotta take a closer look. I’ll upload a pic tomorrow after the storm.

A Sad Day on Friday the 13th

T-***** at an intersection on Friday. This truck didn’t have a scratch on it. So tragic.. I’m in the market for a new one. Question is, what to do with this one? Fixable? Or parts?

Oil Gauge Pegged at 80... Sending Unit?

I should have read this beforehand. While changing my sending unit was successful, upon starting the engine choked out and died. Turns out My fat ass knocked loose the air tube.

Oil Gauge Pegged at 80... Sending Unit?

Update 11/13/22: successfully changed the sending unit. Ratchet, socket and a few extensions. Seemed to fix the problem temporarily. Oil gauge pressurized to 40. Then took her for a trip to Reno this weekend and it’s pegged again at 80, same as before. I used an AC Delco part. I will check the...

Oil Gauge Pegged at 80... Sending Unit?

Yes- needle pegs when engine is off. I replaced the dash cluster because I had a bunch on lights out. Still pegged. Likely the sensor so here we go. Wish me luck!

Oil Gauge Pegged at 80... Sending Unit?

Oil Gauge Pegged at 80... Sending Unit?

My oil gage has been pegged for sometime now (Pegs out without engine running). 5.3 LS runs and strong, no issues. Wondering if anyone had success changing their sending unit? What is the socket size for the unit? Sucker looks like it's back in there pretty good. Let me know- thanks! Dan

Could be. Also vibrates a little at traffic light while idling.

    Vibration When Putting in Reverse

Thanks for the reply. The tac is consistent no changes. Tranny oil good pink, no burnt smell. It vibrates a little when I come to a complete stop at a traffic light and while sitting idle. I’m thinking transmission or motor mount.

    Vibration When Putting in Reverse

Wondering if anyone has had this issue. 2005 Yukon, when I put into reverse with the brake on, the cab seems to vibrate. It reverses fine with no noise, just vibration when putting into gear. Thoughts,? Thanks, Dan

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

2005 GMC Yukon: Today I replaced rear brakes and rotors. Autozone $185. My only regret is I should have replaced the parking brake shoes. Will have to tear down and redo. Lesson learned! Dan
