Hi everyone, has anyone noticed a spinning noise when you slow down and come to a stop. There is a YouTube video showing this exact noise. I have 2023 Yukon Denali Ultimate with 6.2L.

At 0.45-0.50s, if you listen carefully, you’ll hear this sound in this YouTube!

I appreciate you guys
Thanks

That's the bulletin about the issue. Long story short: the noise is "normal."

What it is really: the exhaust valve (flap) for the AFM/DFM during idle gearing. It sucks that a $90k truck makes this sound, but nothing we can do about it. Install the AFM/DFM delete (from Range) and just drive the car. My recommendation? Get an extended warranty from thompsonauto.net or James black cadillac. I think I spent about 2400 on mine and i'm covered bump to bump until 100k miles/2031

I'd call it more of a "jingle" than a "spinning sound" -- but yeah, I notice it on mine, too (and it's what's been described above).

My opinion of two noises I heard:
1st noise at ~0:23s sounded like it was the starter motor and/or solenoid.
2nd noise at ~0:45s sounds a little like brake pad engagement on the rotor.

Maybe the noise sounds different in person and it is possible that it is the exhaust valve/flap.

The flapper on our 2018 recently failed, it rattled pretty bad on startup.

I just had the shop remove it entirely.

You want to retain the flapper if AFM/DOD is active on your truck
