I have just two garage doors but here is my experience: I started with programming my left side door, and it was assigned #1. I then added the right side door, and it was assigned #2. On the display screen the buttons showed out of order, as 2-1. I was worried about this misordering but left it. Upon next vehicle start, while still in front of my garage so the GPS made the buttons show up, they magically reordered into 1-2, matching my physical door arrangement. Some ideas for you, if you already haven’t tried a million things, is to try adding just your left and center doors, and see if you can get them to show as 1-2 after a restart. If it works, then add the right most door and see if it gets assigned 3. Good luck!

I use an Ismartgate app on my phone so that when I'm a couple blocks away I can have the door open and drive right in. Since I always have my phone when I'm driving this is very convenient.

The new system is definitely a disaster and known issue with GM. They finally released a TSB with an updated module to replace the faulty ones. Previous fix was to remove the fuse for it and do a hard reset that way but they finally released a new module. Take it in and complain about it, they should follow that tsb and replace it. I have the old-style Homelink buttons on my 2024 Tahoe that work perfectly every time, and can be pushed while wearing gloves.

My wife has the new tiny screen icons on her 2025 Equinox RS AWD, and they only work sometimes - can not while wearing gloves.

The new style screen icons are a classic example of how automakers are adding new technology that is unproven and unreliable (and very frustrating), while disregarding proven, reliable features such as the physical push buttons.

I'm having the same issue with our 2025 Yukon Denali. I had no trouble with the programming but I would like the icons to show up in the correct order, 1-2-3 from left to right on the Infotainment screen. Mine show up as 2-1-3. According to the GMC Vehicle Support website you should be able to rearrange the icons by simply dragging and dropping them within the Controls App which I've tried but mine are not active and do not respond. The Q and A from the GMC support site reads as follows:

Q: Can I move the Universal Remote icon on the display?

A: Each remote you program creates a shortcut icon that can be repositioned within the Controls App. You can do this by pressing and holding, then dragging and dropping the icon to a new spot. Note that you can only move the shortcut icon within the Controls display area and not to another menu.

Hope someone will chime in here. I'm **** enough that having the icons out of order bothers me although the buttons are functional.

It orders them on the screen based on the last one used. The number assigned is the order in which you programmed them.

I always check the app once it’s closed, which has never failed. As long as there is internet at my house, I can check the status with my iPhone.
After I back out of my garage, I have to put it in Park before the door will shut. Am I doing something wrong?

I have 2024 Tahoe HC and my standard garage door opener remote is so much better than the overhead buttons, which I could never get to work consistently.

The standard remote is 100% every time no matter how hard or light you press the button.
It fits perfectly in the infotainment attachment from Musology, which fits on the frame of the infotainment screen and also has space for other small objects that are held securely in the tray behind the screen.
