Lowering recommendations

I’m doing my research now. I eventually want to lower my 2015 ppv Tahoe. Right now it’s dead level and way to high I want a slight forward rake.
I’ve been looking at having an adjustable setup so I can dial it in perfect.
I’ve been looking at the Belltech and Maxtrac front lowering struts. Both seem to do the same thing, 0-3” drop.
Do you guys like one more than the other? I saw a lot of maxtrac setups in the lowered picture thread.

Thinking of pairing one of them with the maxtrac 1” front drop springs and Monroe strut tops for whole drop in setup with about 4” of adjustability. And I can replace the PPV spring and maybe get a little more comfort that the ppv springs.

For 3” up front I’d recommend the 2”drop spindles and the other inch from your struts or springs. You can get close to 3” from just spindles by attaching the strut below spindle but I’ve heard thats hard to align. More folks with PPV will chime in.

I’m looking into that now. I’m thinking about doing the strut flip for now to get the forward rake I want while I wait to buy the rest.

The drop spindles definitely seem like the best way to go.
I just saw coilovers or full strut build as an easier install for myself. But I guess the money I save with the spindles I can use to pay my mechanic to install them.

Good call. Most likely you can do the spindle swap. It’s a little time consuming but not that difficult. The lowering spindle keeps all of your geometry the same so it’s a good way to go.

I used the Maxtrac drop spindles and adjustable struts on the front of my 2014 PPV. I'm very happy with the products and adjustability. I used the 4" lowering springs and shocks on the rear. Happy with that as well. The ride quality is vastly improved.

That’s something I also want. The ride is a little rough, so I’d love to get a little softer if possible with the drop. Definetly don’t want to get rougher lol.

So that makes me lean a little toward drop struts or coilovers.

I was thinking maxtrac 1” drop springs on adjustable struts. So I have the ability to get 4” if I want. Most likely I’d do 3”.

How was your alignment? Do you have any pictures? How low did you go with the adjustable struts?

Sorry for the late reply. I'm only on here once a week or so. I marked everything as I took it apart and put it back together using marks as a guide. The alignment was very close but I had it aligned after I was finished and would always recommend a professional alignment after any front suspension work. I believe I went 1" lower on the struts in addition to the 2" drop spindles. I could have gone lower but I need the truck to be usable and not drag on absolutely everything. I'll get some pics this afternoon.

I mean you were able to get the alignment back in spec without added alignment bolts ect.
Do you have any pictures? Sounds like you’re set up same as I want to be
