I have a 2007 Tahoe and need to upgrade the radio. I would love great sound but, after that I don’t know what to look for. Technology has greatly changed since the last time I bought a car stereo.

Help please!!

Call the folks at Crutchfield and discuss what you want and what your budget is.

It basically comes down to researching every option now available and finding the unit with those features.

Stuff like …

* Display of engine diagnostics
* DVD / CD or no DVD / CD Player.
* BT and / or (music streaming (A2DP) BT
* Wired and / or wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
* Aftermarket units no longer have built in GPS Navi. It’s handled by the cell phone joined to it.
* Verify your units features to the additional Maestro or similar wiring interfaces needed for compatibility with steering wheel controls, a rear viewing screen, and other weird stuff like the module that makes the blinker click sound.

Not necessarily so; there are some Kenwood units that have integrated Garmin GPS. See www.Crutchfield.com for availability and look for model numbers starting with "DN..." (the "N" specifies integrated nav.)

mine has GPS + wireless android and apple and plenty others do as well, you just have to do your research as it is a optional feature, usually it comes down to higher cost, the more features the more it cost's
you buy something cheap, expect cheap results.
lots of choices out there
pioneer alone list's 50 gps units on there website, not all are current models but they are out there
