So, i've had my tahoe for 3 years now and ever since i bought it there has been a rattling noise thats hard to describe where its comin from. When sittin in the truck it comes from both the left and right sides of the front window on the dash...(i know...confusing)...It's not the face plate of the dash board...but more like where the de-frost air vents are. On both right and left corners? Any ideas anyone? I've looked to try to find ANYTHING that will rattle there and have had no luck. Especially since the only way to test is to get on the interstate. Thanks!

yea that would drive me nuts. if all else fails you could take that insulation foam people put in the hull of boats and stuff that comes in a can and spray and fill up your dash and let it foam up and harden and im sure nothing would rattle then haha

And I thought i was the only one. I checked everything except underneath the cowl where the wipers mount to. Dam it is annoying!

If it only happens on the interstate, and bilateral, wonder if it's your wiper arms/blades? I had a rattle that seemed to come from the middle of the dash under the windshield. It turned out to be a rattling washer under the a/c condensor on the firewall (pass side). THere's a threaded stud sticking out of the firewall (from the engine side), with a washer and nut on it...some cabling is connected to it as an anchor. Tightening the nut to secure the washer made that rattling go away. TOok me about 6 months to figure it out...but mine happened only at idle (because she use to idle rough). Hope this helps a little. Good luck.

i'd strat looking at the cowl area also. cowl grills, wiper arms, etc will all make noises like it was inside the dash.

I have his type of rattling noise on the interstate. Only when driving above 60 mph. sounds like rain bearing on the windshield. My wife is driving now and it is making me crazy
