Yesterday I replaced the VVT solenoid and sensor, and my camshaft position sensor.
I cleared the codes and drove it around for ~15 miles before all the lights and warnings came back on.
My current error codes are now as follows:
P0011 - Intake Camshaft Position System Performance
C0561-71 -...
Thanks for reminding me that I didn't finish updating this.
My Yukon is running again.
I bought a replacement Body Control Module from highway71autoparts.com. I ensured I matched part numbers, had them program it to my VIN.
Plugged it in and it fired right up.
I did not have to reprogram...
Mine has been randomly in and out. The service Stabikitrak/Traction control would come on with no apparent cause, hang around, and then go away with no cause.
When tbr Stabilitrak light was on long enough the check engine would come on with the Cam Position Sensor error code.
If the...
I've been wondering about that sensor.
Before we bought the car we did a test drive and it died at a stoplight. Limped it back to the dealer and they spent 2 weeks "replacing all engine sensors" which seemed to fix it but the light and error came back when driving home.
So is it more true...
I'll check on unplugging the door when I get home from work today. I feel like I've already tried that once and it didn't change anything, but that's been a month now.
My assumption is that somehow the soldering job fried a computer. Be it when I soldered the wires together or when I...
Since this is my wife's car and we still owe ~$7,000 on it I have to fix it one way or another. The fact that it's the only rig we own that can fit the whole family, and is the only one with AC the sooner the better. Doesn't make it hurt any less but it is what it is.
So to ensure I have all...
Small bump.
Yukon is still dead.
I've decided that with no further help or research that made me think otherwise, my BCM is truely dead.
I'm looking now to try to find an affordable replacement that is just plug-n-play with my Vin.
I've found that highway71autoparts.com is well reviewed on...
I attempted to reprogram my key with 2 different instructions but the car did not respond.
Another discovery: my door locks and rear door windows do not work.
I still have the factory radio/dvd player, which is one of the few things still working.
I did find and remove a GPS tracker that someone wired in next to the OBD2 port. I found it when I took the BCM out to clean. They only tapped into a red wire there, and grounded to the bolt holding the...
I don't believe I have the module you are referencing. Looking at the back of my stereo it seems that is where the OnStar plugs into.
Unless the module is further behind my dash? I can attempt to dig further tomorrow. It's too dark now and I've just discovered that all my interior lights are...
Thank you with the quick reply and a new idea.
I just replaced that fuse even though it didn't look blown (I have a huge multiplack just for this car). No change though.
Since I was there I ran every other section of my code reader to see if I could get anything different to narrow down this...
This is my first post so I apologize if there's an answer for this elsewhere, I've just spent all day trying to resolve my issue and I'm at my wit's end.
Tl;dr at end.
Backstory:
My wife and I bought a 2007 GMC Yukon XL Denali a couple years ago. 151It died in the middle of its test drive...
