Yea it's not literally "all the time" but man does it sure make it sound like you drive a peice of junk. Regreased the boot, still the same, got a stethoscope, and deff pinpointed to basically upper part of colum, must be bearing or somthing up there, wonder how difficult these columns are to... -

I'll say low speeds, cause you really only hear it with full revolutions of the wheel. I swear it sounds like it's directly behind steering wheel, I've heard others discribe this same sound aamong other gmt900 (pickups /other suv's) I'll check boot again Tomorrow, thanks. -

Well, I've replaced the clockspring, greased the boot at the firewall, doesn't seem like I can get at anything else without disassembling entire column. Anybody have a definite fix for this? -

Took into dealership, now have thump in rear when I go over bumps.
Seems odd that it happend after a service, but That sounds like the drive shaft slip yolk, pull drive shaft and grease splines.- slocaddy

autoride Air Compressor test
I just replaced mine yesterday, once I test lighted the plug at the compressor and had 12v on one of the leads, I decided the compressor was bad, and I replaced it yesterday and all is well once more- slocaddy

Sell my 03 for 07? Thoughts?
Only reason to step up to nnbs is if your gonna go 6.2, 6 speed. (Cause who doesn't love more power=) My 03 escalade never saw an easy day in its life after 100k mi (when I got it, and it was bone stock) I towed, modded and held to the floor daily and repeatedly to 188k, only prob was knock...- slocaddy

Mileage didn't really change, rpms cruising 70 were up about 150/200 higher than 3.73, it really wasn't the huge change I thought it was going to be , but it absolutely pulled the trailer better on interstate, maintained speed much better (no down shifting going over overpasses- slocaddy

Traction control, tach, alt charging, a/c all go out together
Mine was a cam sensor, however I belive they both operate similar in that , if the pcm loses "signal" it thinks the key has been turned off, It doesn't know the the difference, just there's no reading from the sensor. Maybe search on what happens when crank sensor fails? Post what you end...- slocaddy

Replacing stock bose tweeters
Not hard at all, however, I got image dynamics components and the tweeters for the 09, and would not fit the pillar, too deep, hopefully you have better luck with the jl's- slocaddy
