19 Escalade. When I start the truck, the recirc fan is on, despite the fresh air symbol showing on the display. When you push the recirc button it stays on but the logo changes to recirc, and if you push it again……it goes into fresh air mode and the fan turns off.
Anyone have similar?
Mostly mechanical. 21k miles and have had:
-Cat back replaced due to a leaking, whirring noise under acceleration
-driver door panel squeaked and replaced
-seatback is crooked despite a new seat bottom frame, new seat back frame, and now they're trying new seatback foam
-numerous AC issues all...
Long story but I'm becoming quite unhappy with my 19 Escalade with only 21k miles. Thinking of moving up to a used 21 or 22 Denali. I'm aware of lifter issues. With used new gen Eskys still being rather pricey, anyone go from an older Esky to a new Yukon?
Thanks!
So.....some resolution. My dealer absolutely refuses to warranty this seat, and wants to put a new seat bottom cushion on it just to try and make it match up visually to my twisting recliner.
In other great news.....I sent multiple vids to the sales manager I bought it from....and his first...
Even if the steering wheel is off......it still doesn’t explain what you can see visually where the seat back meets the seat base. It’s angled. Also, when you run the recline all the way forward, you can see the left side of the seat moving while the right side is stationary. A video is worth...
Local Caddy dealer. I used to bring my Yukon there too. I guess I expected better service now that I actually have a caddy. So far, the only difference seems to be that I had no problem getting a loaner car. Well, kinda, first they gave me a nasty smelling smoked in caddy mini suv. Traded...
I drove it home in September. I bought from a non local dealer. I have brought it to my local dealer to get most of these issues covered under warranty. But I’m learning quickly that they don’t even want to warranty anything.
So....if it’s not taken care of, ill head to another semi-local...
This is a ‘19 with 11k miles. None of this is normal.
I had to go back to the dealer yesterday just to demonstrate another issue, a leaking exhaust, that they “couldn’t hear” after having the truck a week. I reproduced the sound, at the very RPM I detailed in the initial explanation...
2019 Esky CPO. I have it in to the dealer for a few warranty items that I think are off.
--Does the left side of the seatback sit further from the wheel than the right side? Angled? I feel like I'm sitting crooked, and I even measured from the wheel and its at least 3/4-1" further away...
Ended up with a 19 Escalade. 10k miles. CPO. I told myself for years I’d never get another black truck after my Yukon, and what did I do.......yep......black Escalade, lol. I was also able to get them to swap my 4mo old beautiful oem chrome rims, and 1mo old Michelin Premiers. I didn’t...
That’s kinda why I’m leaning towards the 19 Esky......I think I’m gonna go drive one tmrw and see if it’s leaps and bounds different than my Yukon. I think there will be a difference since there’s a different suspension and tranny. We’ll see.
Thanks for all the replies. Today I’m wavering even more, lol. Found myself looking at new Denalis yesterday also.....but 80k....jeez. Then thought.....maybe I’ll just keep my truck.....get it road force balanced, new shocks, and a Diablo tuner, and call it good till the market rights itself...
