I’ve been changing my own oil in several cars for over 20 years. I do it more often and use better oil and filter the dealer would use. If a manufacturer ever tries to deny warranty coverage they will have a lawsuit on their hands and I wouldn’t let it go until I won coverage and damages.
2010 Tahoe LTZ, 5.3, 173k miles. The transmission has slipped a few times under hard acceleration. Happens maybe once monthly. Fails to downshift when it should. Under normal acceleration it shifts fine. The tranny is all original; has been flushed twice (75k and 130k miles). Fluid is full and...
I’ve got 2010 Tahoe I bought new. Now with 172k miles on original transmission (and lifters). I always have dealer do a flush every 50k miles and going great. Again, still on original transmission!
My brand new 2025 Yukon AT4 has an issue with the large center screen. Sometime the large screen just doesn’t boot up when engine starts. It stay black. I loose ability to control A/C and radio and all else that screen controls. I can see the screen is on because there is a glow to screen but...
2010 Tahoe LTZ, 5.3, 171k miles. I will be replacing my valve cover gaskets due to leaks. Should I should proactively change the oil pressure sensor even though I have no current issues with the original sensor? It doesn't appear to be leaking. Only reason I'd change it now is if it's easier...

When I replaced my canister, I vacuumed out the lines with a shop vac. I vacuumed a lot of charcoal beads out of the lines going to the gas tank. It was easy and very necessary part of the replacement
The building I did made me get the air suspension if I pick super cruise. I see the air suspension as unnecessary and something else that will break but it’s required for no reason.
You and I are thinking the same. I really want a bench and the AT4 is the best way and still get most of the options like ventilated seats, super cruise, and the 6.2 along with a bench AND not get the ridiculous rear seat entertainment. I don’t need/want 4wd but oh well. I also was able to build...
I did all OEM on 4 corners from Rock Auto. Couldn’t be happier. Z55 on a 2010 Tahoe LTZ. Used spring compressor on front. All went great except I first installed the bump stop upside down on one strut. I removed it and corrected my mistake after reviewing the install for the second strut. Highly...
