Have found a few mechanics between here and Reno and have a call out to 2. Just exploring options... In no rush as vehicle still rides well and just showing some signs of age. Would do it when I get back home but not sure I am doing this drive back to Florida for at least another 6-9...- mpicasso

Traveling for work to Reno, NV area and realizing I may need some work. No tools to speak of with me and where I park, it is a decent decline. Liftgate handle
2006 Yukon XL Denali Liftgate handle broke a few months ago and replaced by mechanic. This weekend, handle has broken (popped out) again. 1) Would assume the handle used for replacement was a Dorman. Can find OEM on Ebay, for a little bit more monies. Worth spending? or better off getting... -

Update: seems to happen when driving highway speeds for a little while. Once I went back to lower speeds, no problems. See attached photo - this is what I had after getting off the highway. Drove around another 30 mins, at lower speed, and never froze again. -

Have looked but have not seen anyone with same issue: 2006 Yukon XL Denali When driving on highway for a period of time, front A/C vents stop blowing at the levels they should. Cycle to floor/defrost and nothing changes. Slow down to city driving and in less than 5 minutes, fan blows normal... -

Brakes seized on this vehicle literally 2 days after being in for a once over. Had vehicle towed to mechanic who only fixed one side (I have since put new calipers, rotors, lines, pads, etc.). Still have what seems to be rusty bearings (rubbing noise on rear axle). See a floating rubber piece... -

Have been looking at almost new...'20-21 Tundras with less than 50K miles. But then I have a $45-50K price tag, which takes away from boat money. Concern is being on the road, 400 miles from home, and car breaks down for something that could have been noticed if a detailed inspection was done. -

All of those things are routinely done. Drive an hour each way, 3-4 days/wk. Thanks for the suggestions, though. Looking for more in-depth proactive repairs, as opposed to actual "maintenance". -
