    Starter Question

That’s what I figured. Just don’t want heat being a factor in it not starting when I really need it to.

    Starter Question

So maybe a brass or copper washer would be sufficient to put between nut and back of cable connection with the front of connection being pressed against the selenoid contact. Am I right in this order? Big Mama, unfortunately I don’t know the exact starter, aside from it being from oriellys and...

    Starter Question

I feel silly for this but need to ask on here anyways. So my truck has been randomly not starting, i tightened the positive connection on starter and it ran again for a while. Then after a 45 mile trip I put it away and tried to start it again, and just one click, so I disconnected the positive...

Methods to Protecting my underbody? Any ideas?

A penetrating fluid? Ok that’s a new one. Looking more in the lines of negating the rust, then treating it year to year if I can find a good enough method that’s cost effective/ and not labor intensive. If not I guess I’ll splash some FF OR KO on it, to slow it down

Methods to Protecting my underbody? Any ideas?

Hey guys, so I have searched high and low to find the perfect method to cleaning up the underbody of my Yukon 4WD. But I cannot narrow it down to the needs of my specific truck. Truck has surface rust on Frame/Rear Diff. It is virtually mint on the rockers. Good for a 2001 What I do know...

    Service 4wd and no 4wd

There is a ground wire, I believe under the truck on the drivers side frame. Check there and clean the connection, see if that is it. I have heard of this being a main culprit.

    Transmission

I would just drop the pan, replace that fluid, put on a new filter and pan gasket. There are videos on YouTube for your truck, there’s also some seal you should check well you have the pan down it should be in the videos. Full flushes can damage high mileage transmissions, drain and refill is...

Oil cooler block-off plate, among other leaks

    1. Yes, though be prepared to lose like 1/4 qt so have something to catch it. 2. 80 INCH pound 3. Yes, though I used RTV only instead of a gasket because I thought my block off plate was not flat. 4. If you use it (black RTV) like I did, I went all the way around the bolt holes and around the...

Hey guys, well my ride is a oily mess underneath and i know its probably a few different things, but I am going to start with the oil cooler block-off plate. Questions I have. 1.Can I change this without changing oil? 2. What are torque specs for 2 10mm bolts? 3. Can I just use the gasket and...

    41962 ACdelco Plugs. .040 or .060 gap

Awesome thank you! And that's one way to do it. I'll just keep them at the gapping they have unless it's obviously not right. I will stay in the range of .040 to .043 anything lower or higher will be adjusted
