That’s possible although I’ve personally never had that issue on any of my last four Tahoes that were “spat less”. I’ve noticed all trim levels of the Tahoe, Yukon and Escalade are now coming through with them, with the exception of the Z71 and AT4. I may have to go with the Z71 to get the look...
You make a fair point but just to keep the conversation going: that’s like saying just because you spend the majority of your time living inside your house when at home it doesn’t matter if something ridiculous looking is hanging off it on the outside.
Totally agree. My only question is the configuration of them. Someone earlier stated they cut them off. If you have to cut them you won’t be putting them back on.
Hey Ryan, my 24 RST is supposed to arrive at my dealership next week. My observation has been all the trims are coming through with spats with the exception of the Z71. What’s your opinion, can you live with them?
Hi Cedric! Sounds like a story I’m familiar with. I was able to order a 2024 RST on 29 September after 3 months waiting for the allocation. No money down. Long story short, the build date was pushed back three times and is currently slated for assembly the first week in January. The order was...
Yes, totally makes sense, I appreciate you and everyone else taking the time to explain and educate me with this. If my new one comes through with them they won’t be there long. Thanks guys!
Just ran across your reply, sorry for the delay. Outstanding! Hope you’re loving it. I’ve been waiting forever. Heard mine is still scheduled for first week in January,,we’ll see
I’ve already posted regarding this feature but thought I’d bring the topic up again. It’s the cheesy looking front wheel well flap that appears in front of the tire (known as a Spat). I ordered a 2024 RST Tahoe that’s scheduled for production in early January. The build site doesn’t show them...
Point taken Jeff. In answer to your last question as to whether they’re needed or not I can’t say. My current observation is half of them have them and half of them don’t.
You were close enough, thanks. The explanation doesn’t make them look any better. If my 24 RST comes through with them I may have to deal with them the way n4gkj did. My current 2016 LT has the extended plastic skirt on the lower front but certainly nothing as crazy looking as these “spat” things.
Don’t think we’re talking about the same thing. We are discussing the rubber flap or chap extending 8” (in front of the front tires) out of the wheel well. They’re being installed from the factory on late model Tahoes and I guess Suburbans
I’m sure there’s validity in everything you stated. I’m personally not sure the perceived benefit is worth making a classic great looking vehicle look ridiculous with that silly add-on design
