The fit is direct replacement , but a wiring harness is needed to bridge the new LED lights to existing vehicle harness. Gen5diy made it for me, and using that it basically made it plug n play. There is a video on the forum from someone else who did them. Took me about 30 minutes.
Yes mine is black as well. I just installed the 2025 full led taillights; and hopefully tackling this next. Right now I can’t find the part number, guessing that will be out soon.
I will say, my Tahoe has power boards while my wife’s Yukon does not. We have 4 kids and they all find the power boards easier to get in and out with. I think the fixed boards are too close to the car and thus are more awkward to actually use. Plus the power boards have better grip; my family...
