Long story short, i found a way to lower these trucks through a different forum. Finished the install last weekend and it looks so good!! Here is a video from my youtube channel of the install.
I have a G80 Factory locker axle in my tahoe with the 3.42 gears. I am leary of this axle based on peoples stories..
I want to swap out the locker/gearing and also jump to a 4.10 gear ratio. I have 22s and my tire diameter is about 31". This thing is a pig off of the line.

Got my Gauges installed for tach, oil press, and coolant temp.
Coolant and oil sensors on my adapters..
special socket for removing the oem oil sensor..
I had a fuel leak on my Earl fitting out of that little hole...... I thought...
keep going man!!! Im at almost the same point with my swap.... Got everything hooked up but the oil and temp sensors..... havent fired it up yet... but it has been alot of lessons learned. Money spent twice... In the end, you will be happy you did the swap... my biggest thing is not going...
updates.... I got all of my pigtails in except the injectors... Nelson performance said they would email me a tracking number but that was 3 days ago... so i guess we wait..

Got my fuel lines hooked up, radiator...
ecm was on the pass side because I was buying a premade harness that was designed to feed that way... plus I was going to piggyback with my stock ECU for ABS.. But I changed my mind and decided to wire my own harness and i am in the process now of removing my factory ECM and mounting the new one...
