**Solved** 2004 Tahoe gauge cluster issues

Problem solved. I resoldered every joint my pointy soldering iron tip could reach, replaced the bulbs, replaced the stepper motors. Plugged it in and everything works and is accurate. Even worked first second after start up when the car had been sitting all day in nearly 100 degree heat, which...

**Solved** 2004 Tahoe gauge cluster issues

That was actually a brilliant idea. I tried it and didn't have much luck. But I went over all resistors I could find and replaced all the bulbs. I'm going to put it in the truck this weekend and make sure the needles are calibrated properly and then just see what happens.

**Solved** 2004 Tahoe gauge cluster issues

I tried that and it did nothing. Literally it just wouldn't come on for about a minute or two when it's hot outside. Lately, it hasn't turned on at all. In the morning when it's cooler, and of course in all the other seasons, it worked just fine. I have already replaced the lights and freshened...

**Solved** 2004 Tahoe gauge cluster issues

Not yet, but I am still going to tidy up some of the solder because some of the resistors actually need it, plus I need to replace some bulbs. Then I'll plug it back in

**Solved** 2004 Tahoe gauge cluster issues

I understand that. But the fact that my 2003 Suburban cluster is working perfectly kind of eliminates the possibility of it being the pins on the plug side. And I have checked the pins on the cluster side of the connector as many ways as possible and they check out perfectly. I have no clue how...

**Solved** 2004 Tahoe gauge cluster issues

Sorry, that was a typo/brain fart. I know it's the cluster, because I put in my Suburban cluster and it's working fine. I don't know why I replaced the word "cluster" with "harness".....long hot day lol.

**Solved** 2004 Tahoe gauge cluster issues

Well sir, I am indeed fixing the dead backlight bulbs lol. I know it's the harness because I put my 2003 Suburban harness in it as a place holder and it's working perfectly. So it's somewhere on the board. I just can't replicate it. I'd rather it had just been completely dead all the time. It...

**Solved** 2004 Tahoe gauge cluster issues

Ok guys, I know this topic has been discussed to death. But...hear me out because I'm not sure what to do here. So, my gauge cluster doesn't want to start when it's hot outside. Just the check engine light. Not movement of the needles or the DIC and PRND. After a few minutes of driving, it will...

    Heated seat swap

So I have a 2003 Yukon XL that is pretty trashed and has a bad transmission, It has the heated seats and full power seats both driver and passenger side. I also have a 2003 Suburban that does not have the heated seats, and the passenger side is manual. Can I just simply swap the 2 seats and the...

    Parasitic draw

So this can tell you if you have a draw but can it pinpoint where the draw is coming from?

    Parasitic draw

Ok so my 2004 Tahoe has been dying in about 2 days. It was about every 5 days but it has gotten worse. There are 2 things I have in mind but I'd like to get some input from this forum before I go digging. So, when it's warm outside, the gauge cluster will take about 30 seconds to a minute before...

    LED Tail lights

Does anyone have any recommendations for LED tail light that ACTUALLY are error proof and have a built in resistor? I ordered some and had the rapid flash, learned about the resistor fix, then learned that there are LEDs with a built in resistor. I ordered form Amazon what they SAID was an LED...
