Water Leak Passenger Side Front Floor

I have a 2005 Yukon Denali XL. Today after a hard rain and the truck was parked on a slight decline towards the rear of the vehicle, I noticed water on the passenger side floor mat. I haven't had this before. I know about the drain in the firewall and the moon roof drains. I checked all 3 drains and they are free and open. Any ideas where it came from ? I looked and can't find a leak or clogged drain. Thanks

Hey Pete...I professionally installed aftermarket sunroofs for 7 years in the late 90's early 00's. When a vehicle isn't parked level you can overload the drain system, so much so that it comes onto the headboard and drains down the a b or c pillars.

Since your Yukon is a 2005 the gasket around the glass may be pretty worn. You may be able to add some thin foam behind the gasket (that's what we did on the aftermarket ones) to help make a tighter seal.

You may also want to check where the glass sits when closed from a open position and vented position. If it's not flush with the roof excess water is going to get in. If it needs adjusted there are 2 screws on each side of the glass front and back.

Exact same thing on my 05, no sunroof. There is a cover under with wiper area on the passenger side just above the blower housing that was leaking when it rained. Like an access panel I guess, pulled it off caulked and re-installed and hasn't leaked since. Water was running down through blower motor housing into the passenger floorboard

Same thing happened on my dad 04 monte carlo i used thin 3m foam and it took care of the problem.

I swear this is happening to my 05' Sierra! Never did understand where the water was coming from. Every time I lift up the front passenger carpet it's always wet. I will have to check this out now. Thank you! By chance you don't happen to have a picture of the exact location do you?

Not saying this is OP's problem, but I've had the EXACT same thing happen to me when parked on an incline with the front facing uphill.
