What are you hoping to accomplish with speakers in this location?

For a full range speaker, they are too far back and too far below the back seats to be of much use for the front seats.

As a subwoofer locations, the airspaces are too small and not adequately sealed enough to provide a good sealed acoustic suspension chamber, without significant modification.

If you were just wanting to shove a pair of speakers back there so that the doors could be fully opened for a little bit of music at a tailgate party or camping trip, it would probably be fine.

Well q-logic makes subwoofer boxes for the barn doors just need shallow subs. $249 each, plus drivers? That's a significant modification to your wallet! Really cool idea, but with that depth and airspace, you would be really limited on sub driver options and performance, although a pair of JL 10W3V3 subs might just squeeze in there and would be about right for depth and sealed airspace. Actually, that might actually pound pretty good!

i put a pair of kenwood 5x7 in my barn doors for when i'm watching movies sitting outside. i did form a encloser in the doors for them plus i pulled the carpet off the panels and cut the hole and glued carpet back on you wouldn't know speakers are there. DO not use thick gauge wire it will

get pinched when closing the doors. i did have to drill some holes for the spk wires. i'm not using
the 4x10's. look in my www.photobucket.com/qlcp
