Also hear ya on the manly thing, I've been out of work for long periods between jobs before and it can get you down, now I work two jobs and have no time to do these things so kinda in the same boat in a sense, except hurrying to try to get things done on the weekend

Well, that's a better reason than saving money IMO! And once you do it, it'll only be easier the next time. Good luck, and have fun!

BRAKE_L8 Any pic's of your ride ????

It's just a stock Denali that gets used for towing and not much else. Love it aside from perpetual oil leaks and the worst feeling brakes of nearly anything I've driven. Oh, and the fuel gauge is starting to act weird, which is probably the sender. Thrilling!

Got my Edge tuner all set up with the gauge layout and warnings that I want.
It's awesome what this little thing can do!

I can't wait to update the cluster and all the switch l.e.d's

24s are on and a whole lot of other stuff done in September. Carpet, headliner, color matched bumpers, OnStar antenna and rear wiper deleted.

Click on my build thread for loads of pictures and write ups on what I did.

Did a CB radio install.

I removed the factory slave cassette deck since it's useless ever since I put in a new stereo years ago. The CB radio fit very well in the space although its a bit skinnier than the cassette deck.

I also made a mounting bracket for the antenna that attaches on the rear above the taillights from underneath the plastic "vents". I still need to thoroughly check my grounds and get a SWR meter so I can tune the radio and antenna properly, but that's the easy part. Here's some pics

I am thinking about changing out my factory head unit in my 04 Z71 Suburban with bose. And was thinking about going to a double din touch screen with Bluetooth. What does everyone like? Brand and models please and not trying to bank the bank as I have 10 month old twin girls.
