O.k. I got my black Denali last week and I matched the side windows to the rears so they all look the same. It's pimp. I also did 35% on the front...also looks awesome...but wow on a black truck with black interior it looks dark from the outside. I have 2 other black cars tinted all around and this looks darker.

I'd suggest going with 50% on the fronts if I were you...

50% is illegal in Texas, can you go that dark in other states.

And yes, tint them, that was the first thing I did. I should of got the dealer to do it, but I was so excited I forgot to work it in the deal.

I have an appt. this Thursday to have my front windows tinted. I'm most likely going with 30% on the fronts since that will keep me legal here and the surrounding states. Local tint guy said that the rear windows are all 20% but that would make it illegal to do the fronts that dark. Either way, cost for fronts is $100. I will post pictures on Thursday night when I get it home.

FYI - Its a '15 Tahoe White Diamond w/ black interior (see "My New 2015 Tahoe" Thread)

Does anyone ever apply tint to the windows in 2nd and 3rd row for UV protection to help with fading? Is this needed?

Im sure people do but its already tinted dark enough to prevent any UV damage

Actually anything over 25 percent on the front two windows is legal in Texas and the rest of the windows can be tinted as dark as you want.
I did 30 percent on my front two and 5 percent on all the rest and the sunroof turned out really nice.

Im doing 15% in the front and doubling up everything in the back. I'm also doing 50% on my front windshield. I've had 35% on my front windshield for the longest time, but now that the Yukon doesnt have stock HID, im only doing 50% as i'm afraid the halogen bulbs will not be able to light up the road enough for me to see.

Guys, I just got done at the window shop today getting the fronts tinted. They put a meter on the 2nd row windows to see what came from the factory and much to my surprise the tint is 15%. I did think it looked quite a bit darker than my '07 Tahoe but still surprised it wasn't 20%. Anyway, I went ahead and got 20% on the fronts since I thought 30% would be too much of a contrast. Getting cloudy here today but I will try to post up a picture of it tonight.

OK, as promised here she is with 20% on the fronts. Hard to tell the difference from front to back due to the lighting at time of picture but you get the idea. You can see how much darker the backs are at 15% from the front 20%. I think 30% would have looked too light...

Agreed, 30% would have been too big of a difference.

While I can see the difference, it still looks better than before and it really does completes the look. Nice!

This is 30 percent on the front and 5 percent over the factory tint on the back.

No I don't have any window tint on the front windshield I probably would if I could find someone in my area that would tint it for me. There is one place that I think will tint it with that 3M crystalline 90 so I might get that done sooner or later.
