So a funny thing happened ...
I had gone to my local LR dealer and put my name down for the next V8 Supercharged allocation, and was going to wait till July/August for my truck. I got a phone call yesterday that someone backed out of purchasing a just delivered one, so I stepped in and bought it.
I'll take better pics later but here's one just for now:
It's Santorini black, with black seats, and black headliner
Here's the option list:

Reasons:
- Not crazy about the new Escalade redesign, especially the tails.
- The dealer was selling a 2014 used one with less options for more money. They are not allowed to mark up the new ones up, but the demand is so high that used ones are selling for more than new. So as long as you can find one and can afford it, it is essentially a free car for at least a year.
- My Esky was about to depreciate more with the new ones about to hit the lots and they gave me very $ for the trade in.
- Most significantly, I love how it looks and drives, the fit and finish, and especially the 510HP and 20" brakes.
I guess I'll show myself out now.
