I have a plate cover on mine too (we have to have front plates too :() and it does help. It's illegal here but the cops won't pull you over for it unless they're real ****** and won't give you a ticket for unless you're a jerk to them

Looks good but not feeling the plate placement......A plate cover will take the edge off but I thought dead center on the bumper would look the best. I know-brand new bumper cover means no holes--I get it ;)

After my run in with the WI state patrol I had to install my front plate. My front bumper was untouched prior too. I just used two small screws and said the heck with it. Mine is between the upper and lower grilles as I didn't want to interfere with the look.

Truck still looks siiiick regardless.

Grill looks good so it's just a bolt over the existing grill? And I kinda like the relocated plate.

its more like a insert. They slide in over the existing grill but its tight and some areas scratched my painted trim. They use zip ties for added security

Can you stick the plate behind the grill? I wonder if it would be visible enough.
Also, I would use 2-sided tape to hold the plate on rather than putting screw holes in that beautiful bumper.

if you can write off your own fix it ticket why even run a plate??

because not worth the hassle of every cop pulling me over for plate violations. It will get old real quick and when you get pulled over its like 15 minutes of Vin checks, background checks, plus it gives them reason to pick my truck apart and i do not want to hear it if my wife is driving it and shes the one who gets pulled over.

Centered with the smoked cover looks perfect IMHO. Hope you stick with it. Truck looks insanely good btw!

Looks better. Try sliding the plate upwards-use the lower holes instead of the top and then you can show off that lower insert without anything blocking it.....

Or stick it behind the grill!!

wont work behind the grill. The grill is now doubled. Has oem grill with new speed grill over it. It wont be visible. I got a solution on order. Pics will come after install.

Sumo, did you paint the bumper cover before or after you adhered it on top of the OEM bumper?

Also, how difficult would you say it was to install it? I bought the SS Generation 2 bumper cover and I'm waiting to find time to install and paint it, hopefully before it gets too cold here.

Painted before install. It took some trial and error with installing. At 1st i forgot to uninstall front plate and it was under the cover....dammit. Had to remove anyways didnt put double sided tape in key areas so i went out and bought extra. You can paint it after installing it. It was just cheaper to do it this way though
