Stuck knife in 12v cig power supply POP!

yeah so what do I do now? Is there an easy way to fix this so my little cig lighter deals work again? Maybe it was a fuse I don't know squat so someone help a noob out

ok i have to know, why stick a knife in the outlet? Good thing is the outlet is fused so look under the dash and replace the blown fuse.

i have fat fingers... i was tryin to get a piece of trash out of it. btw Thanks ill have my mechanic swap out the fuse

if u were there at the time id be disinfecting my entire dashboard with a home made toxic waste suit.. u sicko, at least i got the gum wrapper out

i dropped a nickel in mine, made same pop. took 2 seconds and one of the spare fuses on the fuse cover to fix it

It went pop because the center of the end of the lighter compartment is +ve, while the surrounding housing is -ve. When they touch each other = short circuit. Which then equals blown fuse.
