yea, the 2/3 should give it a nice stance, not looking forward to doing an alignment though
I should have some extra cheap bumper lights here in a few days, and tomorrow my drop keys and springs should arive... i know its the cheap way to lower, but what can i say... im poor, haaha

It's gonna look ****. If you need a hand hit me up, if I'm not busy I'll turn some bolts..
1st) What rear springs did you go with?
2nd) What do changing the keys do? and where did you get them?
3rd) Do you have websites I can look at to order from?..(part specific?)
4th) Your truck look will look sick lowered..but great lifted as well
5th) Lets ALL lower our trucks on the forum just for RT! hahah
Dont be mad RT...our trucks are MEAN and sound BAD ASS while they are lowered with exhaust! hah!
Now...Convertibles and Stock trucks are for the![]()
Auto Zone rents those. It's about all they're good for.
Do what I did, go to Sears, buy what you need, when you're done with it take it in for a refund..
Be careful with the ones from AZ, bro...I've heard they are pretty weak compared to the 7-ton craftsman deals. We used a pretty hardcore 3-jaw puller when we put my F150 keys in, and even that made me a little nervous. Theres a shit ton of pressure on those torsion bars.
Although you're doing lowering keys as opposed to lifting...it might be a little easier on the puller that way.
its a law that lowered trucks can not have Bad ass sounding exhausts, when you put the 2/3 on you must cut out the magnaflow and put stock back in. Lowered trucks are not mean, they are gay, and are the nerds in the truck world, lowered nerds having bad ass exhausts is like a human nerd having a pair of cool sunglasses, They just dont go together.
JK is actually hooking me up nice on his old 2/3... springs and keys... the keys lower the front end and the drop springs drop the rear end. This is about the cheapest way a person can lower their vehicle. Well i suppose you could cut the rear springs yourself and then just buy keys.
I would prefer to get spendles, 4 new shocks, extenders, and i suppose some helper bags would be nice too although that gets pretty pricey.

you got a gear puller? I am still at a loss as to where i am going to get one of these to install the keys
yea i was thinking about doing like Chistoso said and just buying the thing from sears and returning it after i use it... i just dont want to buy the thing as i will likely not use it again for a great many years if ever!
No doubt, that's why I had no problem giving it to my brother in law, he wanted it and I figured I'd never use it again. After the epic ball joint battle we went through changing out the spindles I thought it was the least I could do. Oh, BTW, my alignment was $75 after the drop so it's not that bad..........

From Joe cool himself..........if that ain't the pot callin' the kettle black.
I did my keys a year ago without a puller.. I live in the mid-west where rust is normal. I just sprayed it with some lube and waited a day. You can even use a c-clamp with the piviot ball removed to make it eaiser to remove the bolt.
