Most like likely brown wire for the accessory triggered feed or Pink, White or Orange for an ignition triggered feed. All of this would be on your ignition harness.

Thanks.....just got this Tahoe and with all the electrics it has, I don't want to go randomly probing a bunch of wires.

look under the dash buy the brake pedal, you find a circut breaker box remove cover and you should be all set. Note this is were your trailer harness plugs in. ( this is were i got the power for my 2 -way radio's., lot beter than drilling a hole in fire wall).

OK.....major problem! I probed and found a switched wire in the box you referred to....not paying much attention to what circuit it was. It worked just fine to trigger the relay but apparently it had something to do with the instrument panel and gauges.......now they won't work? I have probed every fuse and all are good. I suppose I've fried the IP? :wtf2:

Since then I have found a TSB regarding aftermarket accessory electrical connections. It says not to tap into the factory harness but use a connector in the unused slot in that buss. Also says to use a diode across the relay to prevent voltage spikes back into the circuit......story of my life.....day late..dollar short.

I guess it's a trip to the dealer to fix my screw up......
