WILL THESE FIT WITHOUT MODS
u2 55's black 24x10 with 305/45/24 or 295/45/24

my ride - 2010 Yukon slt black no liftor lowered..... stock everything just picked up yesterday

some info would be great... hate to drop 3 g's and be a waste

i have an 03 with 6s and both of those diameters are bigger than mine and i rub a lil in the front so i dont know how comparable the body styles are but if you ran those sizes on mine you would definitely rub more

Will require some trimming for sure.

I agree with the buying used route though. You can find some killer deals on almost new rims that someone is trying to unload but pay a fraction of the cost of new.

I vote against used unless you know the seller. Too many shady people on craigslist selling cracked wheels or ones with issues. I'd rather buy a set brand new.

Is also vote on a 305/35/24 or 305/40/24 at most. A 45 series 24" tire is gonna look like poo and more than likely rub.

Keep in mind that this guy said in the chatbox that he drives on some prettty bad roads sometimes, "borderline off-roading" he said.
IMO if you are driving on that bad of roads get some 20's or 22's with a 55 series tire so you have a little bit of rubber under you. they can still look nice but your truck will be a little more capable, also you won't risk tearing your rims up as bad. Last thing if you're on crappy roads get either powder coated or brushed aluminum wheels and stay away from chrome. At the tire shop I used to work at; most of the Chrome rims I saw were peeling and flaking at least to some degree, some wouldn't hold air cuz it was around the bead.

Unless you're meticulous in taking care of your wheels I would never recommend chrome.

I had 35's and It rubbed at full lock in reverse. I had em when I had my KMC slide 24s.

Second, $3000 for some black U2 wheels!??? They most be trying to rip you off.
Those things go around here for rims/tires/lugs and mounting for $1600 worst case scenario. I can find them for $1300 for rims and tires.

I paid $1100 just for my tires. I don't buy into the no name companies. Those tires are garbage.

Why buy cheap wheels and expensive tires? U2 wheels are not very great wheels so Pirelli, Hankook or Nitto tires are uncalled for. If he is spending $3000 on those 24s with tires, $2100 or more of it is for tires and who even knows if he is getting good tires like the ones above, could be getting Sunny tires!

Yeah, valid point. I guess I was speaking personally rather than someone else's scenario. I've had nothing but heartbreak with tires like sunny, fullrun, or whatever other name these Chinese companies come up with.

Chinese wheels deserve Chinese tires.

That is true haha. If I had Asanti's I would roll something better too.
My Gianelles are made in China like all their other wheels so I run Decenti tires.

not the case. Usually one piece cast chrome wheels (the cheap wheels you see every day) are made in China. But a high-end three piece wheel is usually forged here in the good ole USA. As are most, if not all, billet wheels.

not 100% sure, but I've seen some OEM wheels made in Italy (not GM of course). The casting on GM wheels might be done overseas, but I'd be interested to see where the actual plating takes place.

Meh, these days it's all but impossible to decipher where parts are made ... I'm sure we have parts from all over the world on our trucks. I'm pretty sure ALCOA made rims for GM at some point but that's probably not the case any more. It would be really interesting if someone could dig up a parts order sheet from the Arlington plant ... but even then, parts that make up parts will still be from all over. *shrug*
