What is the max anyone has towed with a 2006 6.0L denali? Thinkin bout makin a trip crosscountry to pick up a 31ft camper. Dry weight is 7695lbs with a 875lb hitchweight. I have the tow package and takin my baby would be alot more comfortable than takin my 96 powerstroke. anyinsights would be great. awesome site by the way.:rocking:

i pulled a 40' tow hauler in my girlfriends old 05 denali XL... performed just fine, however it was only right across town... im pretty sure the owners manual has the exact "recomended" tow capacity

We have towed a TA WS6 cross country 4 times with the Silverado (6.0L) I think you will be just fine, just watch your tranny temp, that is the weakest link.

remember to use tow haul, and also remember on steep grades. those 3-2-1 gears are there for a reason.

Right, my main concern is goin through the rockies. Dont want to end up like all the u-hauls dead on the side of the road LOL. I have pulled me 21ft camper around and it pulls great. Bout 2400lb difference tho hehe

im pretty sure at that weight you will be fine, luckily the denali has the tranny temp gauge... thats a nice feature... I dont know what to say about the rockies though.

IMO, i would say this though, if your going to make the whole trip in the denali but your spending the whole time worried and stressing over the tranny holding up, then it probably isnt worth the comfort of the denali...

Get an upgraded tranny cooler, I did that to mine after I drove to Montana to buy my toyhauler, the tranny was alot warmer most of the drive back with the stock cooler and was noticably cooler ever since I got a bigger cooler!! Will pay for itself in no time the more you tow!!

the denali has a 5 pinion planetary but I wouldn't tow over 6k with these coil spring rear suvs, if you do please buy some inner springs helper bags or a bigger rear sway bar...coils out back are sketchy as hell whena trailer unloads on you...level 9 pucker factor for sure.
