Lol yeah, I wasnt really diggin the u2s anymore. I originally wanted the 2 craves but I couldnt find them anywhere, I finally did! Hows the ipad build going? Mine was a big fail ha!
yeah I love the 2 craves but mine are a little different of course.. I gotta rep the purple lip 
my iPad install is a fail too but at the same time still kind of clean
I'm trying to mount mine similar to Steve's touchscreen but there is no clean way of taking it in and out
I'm on my second bezel and will be starting a third as soon as I find another one
my new idea is to create the iPad's shell then house it in a wooden frame with magnets on each corner so in the end the bezel will be completely flush with no holes to slide in and out then once in a blue moon when I need to update it with songs I can just pop the bezel out and pop the magnets off

I love those rims... way better then the U2s for sure! Now that you did that, you should get rid of all the chrome and color match the front valance and the rear handle/bumper cover. Also, I wonder what it would look like if you took off those black covers covering up the light below your low beam head light? You should take those covers off and get some clear corners... that would look SICK imo

ive been thinking about clear corners for a while, not sure yet. i actually have to do my whole front end again, maybe profressionaly this time lol

i have a local shop that said they'd do mine similar to yours but only charging $275.
i'm gonna try to get mine done in a few weeks.
How long did it take soundman to do it?

Thanks. Local shop quoted me about the same but they hadnt done it before so I sent it to soundman. Took about a week and a half.

yea i understand that. if they dont have experience doing an ipod dash, but damn soundman taxes ppl lol.
just got my new box built(9cubes net, all corners 45'd, aero's tuned to 34hz for 2 DC XL 15s) and paid $225. but soundman quoted me $550 before shipping
i think i'll just pick up an extra bezel to have it done
do you think the 02 bezel would fit the ipad or grab a 03+ bezel?
i dont care about the 3 sockets to much. i can just grab a inverter and call it a day.
hell i was thinking about an android 3.0 tablet. mmmmm

I was wondering ... are you guys making this work only for the iPad 1 or you have a way to adjust it for the iPad 2 and later? I'd be a shame to spend all that money to incorporate a tablet that they essentially stopped making.

I thought that too so I had my friend bring his ipad 2 and it docked just fineand was flueh with the bezel. Though there was some sppace in the back. I suppose you could that out with something like some felt.

Sound man has done an iPad 2. Just a bit different in size correct?
iPad: 9.56" tall, 7.47" wide, 0.5" deep
iPad2: 9.5" tall, 7.31" wide, 0.34" deep
But it's not just the overall size, it's the fact that because of the different width the center connector will be slightly off center in an iPad 1 dash mount ... will probably have to add some felt at the bottom too so that it's not tilted.
