lifespan of leaf springs

Good evening, I have a 95 Tahoe has around 237k and change on it has new struts and shocks and rides fine, was wondering how long leaf springs are good for since I have alotta miles on the truck they look to be in good shape no sagging or anything, thanks for the help

Hard to say... all depends on cycles and loads (not mileage or years). Ride 'em until you encounter a problem (sag, typically uneven from one side compared to the other), then replace the entire set.

strutss??? lol coils and shocks up front, shocks and leafs in the rear.. I looked into replacing my leafs, but way to expensive for me, so ill just replace the bushings and such later on..

As Long as they are not rusted out and not sagging you should be fine until they do.

ya there fine no sagging, who knows maybe they were replaced at some point, but thanks for the info

They probably won't sag much just sitting there, hook up a trailer and see how it sits.

The springs on my 77 are original and still holding up perfectly fine so I'd say they have potential to have a very long life span and should last a very long time unless doing consistent heavy towing or hauling

The springs in the Hoe's and Yukons all seemed to drop a bit more even brand new from the factory than expected under load, didn't they?

thanks, since I have had it I haven't towed anything but it has a hitch so who knows what its towed over the years
