Front impact sensor

Hey all, so I have an air bag light B0084.
I was wondering if I changed both front sensors to a UT sensor? Mine are FR, I swapped one and it didnt change and I believe its because one is a FR and one is a UT. Any help is appreciated.

both front sensors should be the same,
you did not provide a year at some point not sure which year might be 2010+ gm changed how they are mounted, which could be why maybe a previous owner changed it to a different one?
regardless you could swap left & right and see if the code follows, your code is for a front right.
the older ones unscrewed from the front, the newer ones unscrew from the rear because of the way they are mounted

Its a 2009 yukon denali.
I swapped the passenger one already with one that has the code UT but the code did not go away. So now I figured they both have to be the same or ill have to buy a new one from autozone

I meant swap left side/right side
the part is the same for both sides, if you swap sides and the code follows then the sensor is bad
if the code remains on the same side then there is a electrical problem of some form. connector, broken wire, etc.

if there is a junkyard in your area you can get one super cheap and there usually already easily accessed because people pull the engines and so the parts are already just laying around basically. I have 4 spares in my tool box, they fell in my pocket

The UT sensor is from a junk yard. But the sensor i replaced FR was broken. I bought both driver and and passenger side sensors. But wasn't sure if I could replace only the bad one. Or if I change both to the ones from the junkyard. And the code go away.

they should be the same so whatever type you removed from the vehicle, the same should go back in.
using something different may have a different ohm reading resulting in the same error. I am not sure what the difference is in a UT

• Resistance Values: The internal resistance of a Front Impact sensor is calibrated differently than an Upper Tie Bar or Side Impact sensor.
• Data IDs: The SDM "pings" each sensor on the network. A Front sensor has a different electronic ID than a Tie Bar sensor. If you plug an FR sensor into the UT location, the SDM will report a "Wrong Component Installed" or "B0083/B0084" diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
