Driver door is creaking any time we turn or go over a speed hump, especially in areas that flex the chassis like turning up the start of a ramp in a parking garage, or backing out of the driveway through the gutter. Dealer say they've never heard of this before. I've read about some mis-aligned doors on '25 models, but the symptoms didn't sound similar, nor have I read the same about any '26 trucks. The sound will stop for a few miles after opening and closing the door, but comes back every time. Has anyone here experienced this?

We also get an intermittent wind noise that sounds like the driver's window is open. Every time, we check that the window is all the way up, and have tried opening and closing the door, but can't pinpoint what is causing it. Traded a '24, so other than the interior changes, the truck is essentially identical and we never experienced either sound on the '24.

Maybe take the service tech for a ride and point out both issues. Just because they haven’t heard of that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t fix the issues. These rigs cost way too much to have issues not fixed. If they give you a problem speak to the service manager or the dealer general manager. You can also try GM customer service but they usually aren’t much help. Good luck.

Did a drive with the tech who finally heard the noise. They claim to have re-torqued the suspension mounting points, and the noise is still there, just less frequent. They also claimed another 2026 AT4 on their lot was making similar noises and tried to chalk it up to just being an AT4. Clearly that answer is unacceptable. Driving it until the next oil change and will address it again then. GM Customer Service helped some on our other truck, but once they help you once, they are very reluctant to do anything else for you.

I had a rattling noise that I couldn't tell whether it was inside the door or outside so I opened the door slightly and drove over speed bumps. It turns out my noise was the door rattling against the door strike so I adjusted the door strike. Not the same as your case but it might enable you to hear where it's coming from better. I got door wind noise at one point due to worn out weather stripping which went away when I replaced it. Maybe if the door isn't totally closing it will allow for wind noise? Or the door is popping open part way? Good luck.

I have a slight (but annoying) rattle in my driver's door, as well. About 1k miles on my '26. At first I thought it might be the seat belt connection in the B pillar, but I still haven't narrowed it down. Initially sounded like it was coming from inside the door.

After having the truck back for a few weeks, I think I've traced the source of the noise to the drivers front quarter panel. The clearance from the quarter to the a pillar is much tighter on the driver side, and when you push on the top of the quarter above the fake vent/trim marking, it makes the exact creak we are hearing in the door. We hear it any time you go around a curve, speed bump, through a gutter turning into a parking lot or from street to street, so I knew it had to be something rubbing with body/frame flex. Time for another trip to the dealer... so much for anyone actually diagnosing anything these days.

I have 2025 AT4 ultimate and have bad wind noise on the driver’s side. Same thing you said where you check to make sure the window is up. I’ve had doors adjusted and need to take back again. I tried painters tape and think it could be the window seal but not really sure. Coming from 2 previous denalis and never had this level of noise.

Is your wind noise constant or intermittent? Ours is intermittent, but when it happens it's incredibly loud like a window is open on the highway. Dealer claimed the doors were aligned properly and since the wind noise is intermittent, they wont address anything else without being able to replicate. Our '24 was whisper quiet on the highway.

I think it is always there and then hers worse at times. Really hear it above 70mph on the interstate. The body shop manager said he drove it at 90 and thought sound was normal. Definitely louder than my last 2. I think the window seal isn’t tight and plan to get run by body shop again soon.

I’ve had the doors aligned and tightened multiple times so far.

After nearly 30 days at the dealer, it appears they finally fixed the rubbing noise by adjusting the fender alignment. The tech agreed with my diagnosis of the quarter panel rubbing the a-pillar. Still no luck whatsoever with the intermittent wind noise.

Went in for second oil change at 2350 miles. They pulled the B pillar trim and found a loose clip. Problem appears resolved.

I asked them to do the thrust bearing check, since I have the LZ0. Came back negative (meaning movement in spec), and no charge for that.

They also did a computer flash for the front camera. I was not aware of a recall for that, but they said the symptom was random automatic braking for some kind of camera hallucination. Really wish I could permanently turn off the auto braking....

My 26 Z71 has bad wind noise at 70+ mph from the drivers side door, almost sounds like at the B pillar. I have not brought it to the dealer yet but assuming its window seal or a door alignment.

This thread is making me think I need to expand my search for potential cause

I have the wind noise on 2025 Yukon XL ultimate. I’ve had doors realigned but still an issue. There are a lot of comments about this problem on Facebook but I’ve yet to see anyone with a solution. I like the vehicle looks without the roof bars but decided to put the bars back on so that I’d get overall wind noise from that and not just focused on the window. That has made it slightly less annoying. I tried riding with painters tape but couldn’t say for sure that made a real improvement in order to pinpoint. The body shop adjusted doors, which were not tight at all originally, and then they test drove they said it is normal. I’ve had multiple Tahoes and Yukons since 2021 and I can say this is not normal. In addition to the wind noise I think I can hear things outside as if there isn’t a tight seal.

Long story short I am living with it and watching forums to see if anyone finds a solution. Just haven’t had the time to spend time going back and forth with the dealer. Some have said it is the new badges on the side of the Yukons but the noise is across both GMC and Chevy.

Yall see this? There is now an official fix for the wind noise!

Glad GM finally admitted there's an issue. Now the real issue will be getting the dealer to agree your truck has the problem and actually perform the TSB repair. Every time ours has been in they conveniently "couldn't replicate."

I hate how accurate and true this is.

I drove 3 hours on the interstate with painters tape on and then took off for the last hour. It clearly made a difference. However what I did notice is now I hear wind noise on passenger side. I couldn’t hear it before because of the driver’s side noise.
