Hello Fam, can anyone give me advice. I just need to know if Yukon has slow leak for AC, would it be possible to last 2-3 month before it blows hot air again? Dealer won’t go back and honor the fix it completely, they replaced condenser but the hissing sound coming from front never was written down and it’s still there. Truck blows hot air again.

My truck has a Stabilitrack message come on and off the dash but the rear has this buzzing sound really loud non stop. I took truck for warranty work before it expired and they just patched it up. Now dealer doesn’t want to fix it like they should have permanently.

Basically dealer to me fo F -OFF

Call the regional manager for GM. Thats what I had to do to get them to cover repairs on my Aztek. It was a long road, but well worth it.

regional manager, is it same as general manager. He was very hostile and played the I’m a tech and your not. Said that they don’t need to test drive repairs they sit under bay. So he basically told me bye to go away and I left.

Regional Manager for GM Corporate, not the dealership. If the dealership is part of a group (like Penske or Group1) you may want to call their corporate group too.

Service manager and general manager fanged up on me. Basically told me to F off, I told him the hissing was there while still in service. He replied it could be anything and told me he has to charge me now. I even shows him service record and nope. He said I should brought it back sooner, but the hissing was there he just ignoring it. Now he wants me to pay up, for repairs that’s should been covered under GMC platinum. The hissing sound is coming from interior cabin where radio and vents are.

They think I’m trying to get free service, no I want my truck fixed. Meanwhile my 7 year old grandson keeps throwing up due to heat exhaustion.

I do know that the ac system produces a "hissing" sound when the ac has been used and the vehicle is shut off. It's the system equalizing and settling. But not a long term hiss.

What is the name of this dealership? The reason I am asking is so no other members here on this forum go there.

Cavendar Buick GMC West San Antonio, TX. I bought the $4,000 protection plan and they pocketed it and told me to kick rocks.

The Dealer says: "It blew cold when he left; it's a new problem."

"It blew cold for a short time because they added 1.5 Ibs of refrigerant [1.1], which acted as a 'Band-Aid' to mask the symptom. A slow evaporator leak can take months to lose enough pressure to blow warm again. Because they drove it zero miles, they failed drove it zero miles, they failed to perform a high-pressure leak-down test that would have found the root cause while I was still covered by my Platinum Plan."

The Dealer says: "We can't warranty it now because it's expired."

"Under the federal

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a warrantor is obligated to fix a symptom (Warm Air/StabiliTrak) reported during the warranty period during the warranty period until it is cured [1.3]. Since the symptom was never cured due to their 0-mile diagnostic error, the original claim remains legally open. I am not asking for a 'new' warranty; I am demanding a correction of a failed repair."

General manager said it could be anything when I told him about this hissing sound. He said it could be anything.

I know it’s leaking, but since the tech never wrote it on RO, they won’t to terms with me. I even showed them pics of gradson having heat exhaustion due to high temps in cabin and they gave no F’s

Does anyone know if I can take them to small claims court? There excuse it’s out of warranty now, however the issues were known to them before warranty expired, that’s the true. If anyone knows let me know, I’m demoralized, I wish I didn’t care so much but it’s making stress so much.

It looks like this all started in August 2024? When did you go back to complain it wasn't fixed? If only recently they're right you waited too long.

The timeline is irrelevant because the initial diagnostic was a failure. I presented this vehicle on time(at 82,619 miles) while under a bumper-to-bumper warranty [1.1]. The dealership returned the vehicle after driving it zero miles (82,619 IN/OUT) [1.1]. Under the Texas DTPA, a shop has a legal duty to perform repairs in a 'good and workmanlike manner' [1.2]. You cannot diagnose a complex A/C and suspension failure while a truck is parked in a bay. Their negligence in August is what caused this to drag on." They knew my warranty was going expire and just let it ran out, now I’m stuck as a loyal customer. How would you feel if you had to drive your wife and kids around in Texas heat and they all get heat exhaustion from hot cabin temperatures. Not being rude to you just saying, we’re all human. Plus I trusted there word it was fixed and, time and family got in the way. The service advisor told me it had 2 year warranty and I took there word on not knowing they were going haggle me. It doesn’t give them a right to deceive me or anyone else.

They can’t say fixed when they didn’t even test drive, the service director had the nerve to tell me that they don’t need to test drive trucks, that they just sit under bay and test it. They completely went against their own RO notes.

If you paid me $4,000.00 for warranty, I am expected fo fix your car right and not blame you. The liability falls on them for not properly diagnosing the correct issue.

This is bad PR for Cavendar Buick GMC West San Antonio, TX.

Sounds like you shelled out an extra $4000.00 for a protection plan that they are refusing to honor.

Hopefully the escalation with the regional GM rep gets their ass in gear and you get this problem fixed under the warranty.

Zero miles added while the truck is in for diagnosis indeed shows a lack of thoroughness and possibly not following diagnostic procedures.
