Was looking in my 26 Tahoe and was in the truck. Under the cover I have my tire iron (latched in with Velcro) and then another Velcro strap with nothing.

Is my vehicle missing something or is there an extra strap just because?

Tire iron is helpful but shouldn't there be a jack laying around somewhere?

Thank you all for looking and providing the insights. Glad to know nothing is missing.

To answer the question of “why don’t you just look in the owners manual?” I tried, but there was no section titled “potentially missing item from under trunk lid but not quite sure”

So, love the answer. Was there a section labeled, "Look here when you want to know what is stored under the cover in post #1 and under the trunk in post #8"?

See I stopped flipping the pages at 324. Was so close to stumbling onto it
What I have found useful is download the PDF of the owners manual from your appropriate brand web site (GMC.com or Chevrolet.com) and save it on your computer. Then you can search it.

You can also access and search it on your MyGMC or MyChevrolet app under Help Center->Owners Manual.

May not have found this, but it is very useful.

I also suggest putting the paper copy on your night stand or coffee table and read a section a night till you are done, surprise features you didn’t know about will be revealed.

I brought the printed owner’s manual for my Tahoe from Helm Inc.

Nothing beats being able to read a printed manual anywhere you want.

I use the owners manual on the Chevy app but it seems like an abridged version.

Im not a scientist, but maybe dont stick your finger in the gas hole?
you'd be surprised.......\
behind that 1st door is a 2nd door, if you stick something in there that is not a smooth surface, say like a ribbed gas can spout or funnel.
which is why there should be a GM provided smooth edge funnel in the glove box?, sometimes it is back there with the jack handle in the floor cubby

This design of gas fill is stupid for just this reason. Over engineered and then makes it a PITA.
