I agree the wire mesh style grill kinda looks janky but I like it with the solid backlit Chevrolet bar that’s pretty cool!

Ah, well that’s billet style , this is mesh style. These are street scene speed grille wire mesh inserts instead. Brushed finish, same style I had on the Tahoe.

Gas station picks always hit different

Then I powder coated the grille insets gloss black like the Tahoe. Also had them do the receiver hitch too. Little pieces like that are always looked over and are usually the first rust and loom like crap.

Wife’s car made it. Had my mom drive it from anchorage ak , through Canada and down to AZ.

Added clear reflectors to the alpharex heads. Still not finished with them

This heat is a nightmare. Hottest year in history on record in 2024. Anything that was glued down on the truck started peeling up. Inside and out.

Sure it looks cool after about 20 hours of peeling the rest off and cleaning the glue residue then polishing the metal slats. But now it’s useless as the original black vinyl was actually holding the slats together. So now I need to figure out what material I can use and what glue. Something that’s close to the original and can be playable when the cover rolls up into itself. If I try to roll the cover the slats just fall off of each other.

Any ideas or inputs are welcome

Wanted to add back the Z71 but in blue. Then got a crazy idea to go retro with it. I like it.

BTW these are the Z off-road headlights. Got them from the testing promo. Would recommend. Decent output, much better than stock but still not as good as a retrofit. These are the same Chinese company that makes the 99-02 Silverado 00-06 Tahoe lights (ramjet). Same optics and all.

Also if you haven’t noticed yet I ditched the played out ltz wheels for something different. At first everyone thinks they’re regular snowflakes till you look closer - 2022 jeep wagoneer 20s. Same bolt pattern as the rams , which are the same as GM trucks 6x5.5

Not sure what gm center caps would fit but this is my own way and it worked for now lol

Yea any wagoneer wheel fit our trucks. But the ones I have are the only good looking wheel imo.

I have a long time client of the detail business that traded a 2017 Q7 for a brand new wagoneer in November of 2022, and it had black snowflake 22s that I swear looked and felt exactly like the GM snowflake 22s lol. They were on it in the photo she took of it at the dealer when she was buying it so don’t know if it was something the dealer worked out for her as a wheel upgrade or not but they looked identical lol. Maybe reproduction wheels that fit I don’t know. I always thought that was interesting.

Dude didn’t even know they were a gm rep wheel. He looked a little disappointed when I told them they were gm wheels as a mopar guy since he had a wide hipped charger himself.

Did a full interior detail while it’s blown apart. Hid all the oem wiring . Upgrade speaker wire. Started on headliner that’s been out for a year just sitting in my spare room. Properly mounted the amp so it’s not just sitting in the floor behind the passenger seat. Threw the oem storage cover back in. Yea that’s not a problem. This is my second single cab headliner. I redid the headliner in my old crew cab and it wasn’t too bad. Took it out the door. Gotta play with the seats moving them back and forth , recline and decline adjusting where needed. Planned to do the Tahoe , would’ve been easy with the rear hatch door of course.

Nope hers was white. Still here in big bear with their huge tree trimming business. She ditched the wagoneer in September of 2024, because apparently it repeatedly had some sort of issue with the rear axle, to the point where the rear wheels would not be secured to the vehicle and the dealer couldn’t get it straightened out after like 5 separate trips to the service bay to address it. She traded the wagoneer on a CPO 2021 Escalade, only for it to fail the PICO inspection and need a replacement L87 6.2 this passed August. But she’s got the extended coverage and warranty on it. So hopefully it holds up.

These new vehicles have more problems than any before. Well domestic that is , which is embarrassing for America, like wtf are we doing? Spend 6 figures on a truck just to have it crap out. And not like oh the sub plug broke , no it’s more like the entire engine seized and need to be replaced after 15k miles. Then all these imported vehicles don’t come with major issues and have a 7-10 yr factory warranty while American manufactures are still using 3-5 yr warranties.
