service stabilitrack light

2011 yukon denali here... in past 2 weeks i have gotten the 'service stabilitrack' warning on the dash, truck goes into 'limp mode'
pulled over, turned engine off and on again couple times, goes away.

already reset the computer by disconnecting neg batt cable for 20 mins, but came back today.

mechanic friend of mine suggested cleaning the throttle body- is that a work around for a bad sensor somewhere? when she runs, she runs great.. i just dont want this to happen again while on the highway or anything.. looking for a driveway fix i can do myself.

usually this is either the throttle body wire harness or throttle body, can be hard to diagnose because it happens so random.
I can only suggest a used throttle body swap to see if the problem goes away, if not then it would likely be the harness, what happens is a wire will break inside the harness from being wiggled by the engine, so randomly it looses connection and that causes the limp mode.
these are of course just the known common problems, probably always a good idea to start at the battery, pull the cables off and wire brush even if it looks ok.
you could also remove the throttle body harness and use electrical contact cleaner (spray) on both sides.

Because a bad accelerator pedal/wiring could also cause limp mode..
