Hello from wild windy Wyoming

Just joined. I have a 2004 GMC Yukon XL 2500 that we purchased for our middle son and family. My daughter in law lunched the 6.0. It has been sitting at her moms for about 3 yrs. We have finally decided to get it back on the road. For us.

We want a tow vehicle/ hauler instead of buying another we will get the Yukon up a running.

Welcome! There are lots of folks here who know how to help you do that - myself included.

If it helps, I tow either a 7500 lb conventional camper or a 6700 lb Airstream with both our 2012 Yukon XL Denali and our 2018 Suburban 3500 HD, and have spent a lot of time on modifications to the former to improve cooling, towing performance, and durability - many of which could apply to your 2004 as well.
