Having trouble thinking of the odd cases where either or both fail to disable Cylinder Confusion ...
Point is you MAY not need both ...
Suggest you change the oil when the OLM hits 50%, do not not use 0W20 oil.
Last I looked there are no DFM disablers for the 2025 SUV's due to changes in the vehicle software.
Add a catch can to keep the intake path cleaner. I like the JL Catch can, simple and easy to install, about 10 minutes.
As for transmission issues, suggest a NextGen valve body upgrade kit and a PPE transmission pan with drain plug. Drain and fill the transmission every 15-20k miles.

Keeps the fluids clean and I would use all the gears and see if a tune could turn off Auto Stop and DFM. The former would keep me from ever buying such a vehicle. I can live with DFM, it's much more reliable now but would still prefer all eight firing.
As/s is easily defeated, shouldn’t stop you from buying if you really liked/wanted it.
@OP since we don’t know exactly what year or engine you’re talking about, I’d say keeping the oil clean and changed proactively would better your chances of longevity above all else. Disable as/s and fuel management may help in the long run, but clean oil will be your best bet.
I installed the Range module which disables AS/S and DFM. i don't bother just using L9 as now with the Range module, it doesn't get into DFM mode. I would change transmission fluid more often than the owners manual says as it seems the additives wear out. You have to shake up the bottle of trans fluid before you put it in the truck. It says so in service information and on the bottle.

Get the Range RA007 module and change oil at 3k to 5k intervals, with a high quality synthetic oil. No guarantee's it will last to 100k miles, but it sure doesn't hurt the chances.
Our 2021 Yukon SLT 5.3 has just over 66k miles, I am the second owner, the previous owner had the vehicle serviced every 6000-7500 miles, not ideal per my preferences but the trucks does not burn a single drop of oil, it's so solid. Been running the Range module for around 4,000 miles now, and I am pleased with it. No more DFM and no more auto start/stop.
I have an extended warranty for another 4.25 years or up to 120k miles i think. So if the motor decides to blow, I'll be covered.

Agree, agree! Get a A/S/S DFM disabler from https://www.rangetechnology.com/... cut the oil filter open when changing the oil for piece of mind... drive drive drive and enjoy.
