March 28th Chevrolet.com sent me an email saying:
"Build your new ride with available super cruise and the Duramax diesel engine.":love62: They were referring to Tahoes and Suburbans.
I know this is "old news" GM authority.com said the same thing February 6th.
BUT Chevrolets "Build and Price" tool deletes the Duramax engine as soon as I add super cruise. It does not matter what trim I select, or if I use a package or just the interior options to add super cruise.

GM if you're listening; WHEN are you going to update the Build & Price tool ? It's been over 2 months :mad::mad:

I have to buy High Country trim in a Silverado to get Super Cruise , but at least I can also have the Duramax diesel.

Maybe GM only wants to sell GMC Yukons with super cruise and a Duramax.

You are spot on! GM is inflating the GMC sales by putting all of the constraints on Tahoes & Suburbans.

Makes you wonder how viable the GMC brand really is for GM

My HC 3L has been built and is awaiting shipment to my dealer. Not sure how long that process normally takes, but hopefully not too much longer. Dealer was able to confirm that it's been built but hasn't been assigned a transport carrier yet.

Chat on chevrolet.com is reporting:

"Congratulations! Your vehicle has been produced. It is important to know that shipping arrangements will take place next and your selling dealer is the best source for additional detail on that process."

I am getting close to just saying forget it and looking at something else. Order has been in for 5 weeks already with nothing.

I wonder if this is what my dealer was looking at a couple of weeks ago when he told me that my order was accepted and gave me my TPW. He said that it was 1 of only 15 AT4 U with the diesel. I know its probably not going to be a super common vehicle, but it seemed crazy to me that they would only build 15 of them, but if it was just for the week, then that makes more sense.

I don't see a line item for RST with 3.0? I just crossed 4 weeks of waiting for an allocation. Tahoe RST 3.0.
I believe this was the subsection for Suburban only. However, there are quite a few Tahoe RST 3.0 available nationwide depending on what you are looking for option wise.

That is where my frustration lies. There is only one, Z71 suburban w/ 3.0, built and for sale in the entire country. And they have no idea when they will receive it.

I don't understand why the LZ0 roll out on Tahoe/Suburban is so difficult.

I finally had success today with my Tahoe diesel order with HC Deluxe package got it accepted. Was told if I wanted a Z71 there was 0 allocation not sure if that was for just Ontario Canada or all over. I was worried about losing the $1995 credit that is being offered but secured it.

GM's goal is to suppress sales of Tahoe/Suburban...in order to increase sales of Yukon/Yukon XL.

I just can't figure out why!

Higher profit on Yukons and Escalades
It’s only been a month of production so far so I’m hopeful they’ll start making these eventually - not willing to cough up another 10-20k to be stuck with those darn tv screens and power telescoping running boards. If only they offered all the colors on the LT…

How’s the new engine performing? Did you come from the previous diesel? If so, can you share the difference?
The diesel is slower than the 6.2 but I think we made the right choice. I look forward to seeing the performance / mpg data on the interstate but I haven’t had a chance to so far. We drove the 24 3.0 about 2 times but it would be hard to say for me if one performs better than the other.

I'm anxious to see how the LZ0 diesel is compared to the old LM2. I had a LM2 in a 2023 Yukon and I thought it was very lazy. Seems to be fine in a pickup truck but our SUV's are a lot heavier and push a lot more wind. The 6.2 moves it without effort.

I'd rather brag to my friends at cars and coffee that I can break 30 MPG in my land yacht than beat them to the donut shop in the morning.... But I'm old like that.....
