My at4 XL diesel is at event code 3300 as of Thursday. I have a thread in the general discussion.
As of today it's 3400 with a tpw of 4/14

How are you getting the event codes?

My dealer texts me updates, but no codes, and getting order status from the virtual assistant on GMC website doesnt give a code.

Also, not sure why my dealer would know this, but he says they are only building 15 AT4 Ultimate's with the Duramax.

Mine isn't an ultimate. The dealer portal has the current event code. With that said the advisor doesn't always give it either but has been ever since we hit 3000.

My order is a at4 xl duramax with the 8passenger off road capability pack

So what is the consensus on why there is all these setbacks with trying to get a order completed ? I've ordered many Yukon's and Tahoe's and have never been successful taking delivery of them within any decent timeframe and usually finding one similar on the lot. In the back of my mind I always think this is the way GM controls demand by restricting supply. I remember that from Economics class, many years ago, many many actually.

Not gm just crappy dealers. Consensus is if your dealer is honest and up front you will know what's what. If they are not everything is blamed on gm and you have no real time-line.

Must have alot to do with the dealers or their connections up the ladder. I started late last year inquiring about the LZO availability and got the "wait til next year" story all over. In January we made a 100 mile circle stopping at 6 dealers. I told each of the 6 dealers what I wanted and made it clear that I was giving whichever dealer called me first with a "ready to order"- I would be heading their way. Feb 6 a dealer called me and when I arrived he showed me the email from his district rep or mgr saying he could order the Yukon Diesel. We put together the options and the order. March 22 I drove it home and still have not heard from the other 5 dealers. I know at least 3 of them had a post-it note on their desktop with my name of it. When I thanked the sales mgr for getting the job done, he just said " persistence pays off".

I'd say that it won't be long, and Arlington will have an overcapacity issue as people flat back off of making a roughly 80- 100K purchase. It won't make diesels come any faster, because I think they only designate just a few hours/days a week to make them. I'd bet by June or so, if things keep up, you could order one and probably have it in 4-6 weeks from order date....

It’s incredible in this day and age that one can walk into any, say, a BMW dealership, place an order for say, a top of the line X7 SUV, track the order through the app and have it arrive 4-6 weeks later. With possibly only some exclusive/individual paint colors taking a bit longer. Meanwhile the last 2 custom orders I did with GM (1 pickup truck and 1 SUV) it had to involve visiting multiple dealerships, getting BS’d around, having orders go into black holes, spending hours in the GM chat to get order status and finally vehicles arriving 4-6 months later. Unbelievable!

Bmw doesnt sell nearly the volume GM does.
And if you go to multiple dealers and place multiple orders and bounce around you are not exactly helping matters.

Thats crazy because their US sales isn't close to what GM does in US alone.

Comparing the full size bmw x7 hardly any sales compared to what the gm full sizes bring.

The escalade alone outsells the bmw

I guess what im saying is the reason it's hard is because demand is high and they sell them as soon as they drop.

Why wouldn't GM make custom orders first? No constraints or restrictions. Get them out on the road!
That would drive demand more than sitting at a dealer, IMO.

I very rarely see 2025 models on the road in OKC.

Are you really being apologetic for GMs archaic processes and mostly bottom of the barrel dealer network?

GM in 2024 sold 2.7 million vehicles vs. BMW 2.5 million - is that not comparable? And the average MSRP may not be that far off considering how much downmarket BmW has come and how high the MSRPs of these GM SUVs have gone… It may not be apples to apples but I’d say they are pretty comparable in many ways, not just by units sold.

The reason I had to go to 5 different dealers is the first 3 wouldn’t even consider placing an order and were only interested in pushing lot inventory. Don’t get me wrong, all dealerships have some sort of scumminess to them but the lack of professionalism and service I’ve received from GM and their dealers in recent years is just another level. How is it possible in 2025 there’s still no straight forward way to check status of an order online??

One doesn’t have to step up to BMW to have a better experience: CDJR/Stelantis has had a straight forward, online order tracking for years. It’s just too bad their product is s**t.

Because they want you go buy what's there. Most imports in the states don't even do orders..i wouldn't be surprised if you see orders vanish unless it's for special models and vehicles.

I had a friend that 2 years ago order a new Toyota Hylander Hybrid. 11 months later the dealer didn't know where it was or still when it was coming from Japan. This was a large Phoenix dealer. Not all brands have their stuff together.....Cancelled it and bought a new Ford Edge the same day. Happy ever after....

Yeah I can’t say I’ve factory ordered a ton… only 2 F150s and our Yukon last year in Feb 2024. Had the Yukon in the driveway 2 months after we ordered and I’m in Nova Scotia 2,000 miles away from Arlington lol.

At the same time I inquired with Toyota about the Sequoia and I was told maybe 12-18 months…. And I thought waiting 7 months for my factory order F150 Lariat in the 2021 chip shortage was bad! Clearly Toyota hasn’t figured that out, or they have different priorities on how they get vehicles to customers. I will add, they have far fewer options within each trim level so I suppose the desire to custom order is probably less?

Guess we'll see what happens this Thursday that's when allotment up here gets awarded. Last week there was allotment but there was a constraint on a item in the build and my build is very simple as I'm trying to avoid hold ups. You can buy a house quicker then this

Has anyone received an allocation / Build on a 2025 GMC Yukon XL Denali Ultimate 3.0L LZ0? I have been in line for one since production start here in North West Central Minnesota with no word on a allocation yet from dealer. Still being patient, just being curious of others.
FWIW - It looks like they're now building Denali Ultimates - a quick search shows about 7 of them in transit as of today.

Yes.... 7 ultimate diesels (.001%) out of 3750 available Yukon's. Only 177 diesels in total of all trim levels...Less than 5%....
