Hi,

Just, purchased a new subject vehicle, I find that for several years the good old 12 volt outlets have been deemed as unneeded by GMC. Sigh. I won't editorialize.

I need one in the very rear, hot at all times, and at least one accessible to the driver, hot or not hot at all times.

I'm seeing a rear fuse panel very near where I want the rear one....I think I can find a hot at all times circuit in there (can I?), put a fuse blade extender in the chosen fuse, attach a spade connector, inline fuse, and some sort of outlet such as this: found here and discussed elsewhere. Other than the "don't run your battery down" (I'm REAL good with supervision of the device, and have trained my bride the same) warning, any circuit recommendations, or other advice?

I'm a little more circumspect about the front seat one....I'm hopefully not going to have to do a firewall drill-through (I'm even willing to bring the wiring up from the rear if necessary), and I'm not completely adverse to an under dash outlet mount. Any recommendations, please? Is there clean 12 VDC up there? If I can't have hot at all times, so be it.

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Should be there, right rear quarter by the seat switches, it’s got a black square cover, no logo.. looks like a piece of switch trim.

Unfortunately, (well, it would be a GREAT addition if there was a 12VDC outlet too), that is a 115VAC outlet.

I often have to use a 12v to charge my laptop at the faster speeds. Anyone know what Watt or speed these USB-Cs are? In the front are there more in the center console?

I liked how w hen I had my 2018 Colorado there was a fuse that you could move to another location that would give 12 volts all of the time to the 12 volt outlet instead of only when the vehicle was turned on.
