Wanting to put a 2001 2002 2500 HD hood on my 2004 tahoe

Has anyone put a 2500 HD hood on a 2004 body style Tahoe? If so what did you have to do to make it fit or if you didnt have to do anything?

yep, lots of people here have. it is the new 'must have' mod of 2010.

and no you won't need to mod anything to use a powerdome hood on a chevy.

Its one of those things at is just bolt on and go. No modifacation required. I myself am looking for a hood up here. I will find one in a bone yard some day.

You can do it you just need to fabricate the areas above the headlights

Alright well see i work at a body shop and i asked a couple of the body men and all of them have told me the radiator support and the headlight mounting assembly are different. i did look under the hood of a 2001 2500 HD and the radiator support did look a little higher then a 1500 support. so i figured id ask you guys since this is a tahoe forum

That would be cool, but you'd have to get it painted. Without blending on to the fenders the match probably wouldn't be that great. I'd love to see one, though.

99-02 Silverado 2500 or 3500 HD hoods will fit 00-06 hoes without any mods

Dont have a stock pipe. Have a Magnaflow cat-back with magnaflow tip.

It will bolt on but you will have to modify around the headlights. It has been done by a few members on here and looks wild.

Here's my 06 Hoe with the HD hood. Got the paint to match perfectly like it came from the factory.. I'd do it all over again if I had to..
