I have a 2005 Tahoe SLT and the AC is driving me crazy, well actually the heat as well.

When I start the tahoe I have no problems, but 80% of the time after about 30 minutes very little air will come out of the vents. The heat can be on, or the AC, doesn't matter. I can have the fan on high (hear the fan moving) and no air will be coming out of the vents. I can switch vent locations, say from the head and feet to defrost and still have the same issue of no moving air. If I turn off the system for 5 minutes and turn it back on it will sometimes work, but only for 10minutes or so. This is driving me nuts and now that the weather is about to start heating up I can't take another summer dealing with this.

I have taken it into my shop a few times for various issues related to the heating/cooling and have replaced a few blend air units and a few other items under the hood.

Please help!

If the fan is blowing but you do not feel air coming out, there are several things that could be wrong. The blower motor resistor is the cheapest part, then the blower motor, and finally the blend doors. From your description, I lean toward the blend doors not properly opening, or improperly closing.

I replaced the blower motor and the resistor (22807123) 4 months ago, still the problem remains.

I do not use the auto function.

Since there are multiple blend doors which one would you recommend I look at replacing? Are all blend door actuators from rock auto the exact same or are their specific ones per location?

Something else it could be is that controller. Got a buddy with a similar one? If you were in Texas I'd let you borrow mine. Heck, I have a Tech II clone -- I wish I could help you further!

You can keep throwing parts at it or put a Tech-2 on it and find out in moments what's wrong.

The recirc actuator can bleed off air as can the mode actuator. If the motor is not turning at its full potential when commanded to do so, that's a controller issue, not an actuator.
