Both sides of Lifters Replaced, Check Engine Light back on

2021 Z71 Suburban that had lifter collapse, bending pushrod in cylinder 7 at 21K miles. Both sides were replaced. Check engine light just came on about 300 miles later with following codes: P3108 and P3411.

Any ideas? I am losing confidence in this truck rapidly…my fifth yukon/suburban.

Warranty, dealer, should diagnose and fix for free?

From the code, seems like a possibility is the repair damaged a wiring harness, neglected to plug in properly, bent a pin, or you actually have failing lifters again...or they blocked an oil passage w/ debris.

Dealer service dept your best bet on this one.

some times and other times it just says "vehicle serviced" and as the owner if you have a carfax account on it then carfax gives you the option of inputting what service was done.
for instance, it shows I had some electrical issue's so it was in & out a few times because we couldn't figure out what was going on, turned out to be a bad alternator, then the water pump failed at 36k, otherwise it would just be normal oil changes every 3k, right now I am overdue for a oil change (per my schedule). I have the option to edit the fields.

Sorry. Obviously could be anything from very minor computer issue to potentially lifter related.(likely not without the hallmark symptoms) I read too many stories of failures after repair to feel comfortable keeping mine. (Hence the diesel). Good luck.

If I seen a vehicle that had been at the dealers as much as this one, I'd run like the wind even if all visits were something "semi normal". With this many visits you better start reading between the lines.....

well it has had oil changes every 3k, I don't wait 10k or whatever every one else seems to think is "ok" and I keep it maintained.
other than that it had a bad alternator and was causing a lot of electrical havoc, I could not find the cause and the dealer could not find the cause. In order to have it checked under warranty I had to bring it in while it was doing this strange behavior, the problem would happen and then not happen, so I could start it up and it would do it and then stop maybe 10 minutes later or it might do it for an hour, each time I took it in it would of course not do it, then 1 time they finally witnessed the instrument cluster being erratic so they replaced the cluster, yet it kept on doing it, over and over. After several times of taking it in and them not finding the issue I asked for a deep diagnostic (that I had to pay for) and they put there best tech on it and after a deep dive with a oscilloscope on the electrical system they finally found the cause was the alternator was sending 800mv spikes to the bcm and making it think the ignition was being turned on&off in milliseconds, if you know anything about these vehicles and how the modules "handshake" when you start the vehicle it causes all kind of problems when that handshake is not good. So that is the reading between the lines.
I have no plans to sell it anyway it's a great truck and I will probably keep it 15+ years like I did my last one, although the new 2022 ZR2 with front & rear lockers looks pretty enticing.....I can have this one modified to the same for less than buying a new one, 6-8k I can have a low ,mileage 6.2l and once a few of the wrecked 2022's starting showing up in the yards I can swap diff's for 3-4k. all those kinds of things add no value to resale but make it more fun for me. So run Forest run.....

I was hoping to not become part of the 'bad lifter' club, but I have a pretty good feeling that I just joined it.

My '21 Tahoe, built in March of '21 and I took delivery exactly a week ago and have 9,150 miles on it today has a nasty misfire and throws traction control and other messages up on the display.

It started off running fine today just like any other day...parked it at work for a few hours, jumped in it to drive home and it started without any warning running like total crap. I was able to drive it to a local Chevy dealer which isn't very far down the road, although I was concerned about it stalling out completely and they were able to hook me up with a loaner while they work it into their schedule.

I'm still waiting for the official diagnosis. My engine manufacturing date code equals Feb. 11th 2021 as the build date, so it's right in that range of the TSB indicating known bad lifters that was mentioned in other forum posts on here.

What's funny is I asked the service guy if he's heard of the bad lifters and he acted like it was something new, although it's all over this forum and I know the smaller dealer where I bought it from originally has had some of those come into their shop.

Hopefully those who have had bad lifters and managed to get them all replaced have ended up with good luck after the replacement??? I'm fortunate to have been able to drive it to a dealership...many folks on here are not so lucky.

Just an update...it's confirmed that I joined the lifter club.

The downside is they’re only replacing one bank, so I’m sure I’ll be back into the shop at some point again...not overly excited for that.

OP here. Dealer diagnosed it initially as a wiring harness that was not fully connected. The same error codes keep returning. Most common post fueling, which could be completely coincidental. Vehicle is back at dealer for fourth time with no clear fix.

They thought initially it was one of three wiring harnesses. All were checked and one seemed a little loose. Check engine light returned, went away, and has come back. At dealer now again for fourth time.
