Took advantage of the heat wave yesterday to go find a new radiator cover. (Hint - they will crack if you leave a socket there when closing the hood).
Found one that actually had legible decals!

Just for scheisse's and giggles, I took another look at that 2004 Denali just sitting there. I don't see why they wouldn't fit my 2001, so I grabbed the valve cover trim pieces.

Ground down the pad for the panic button on my new ‘15 style fob case. I forgot to do it after installing it a couple weeks ago and mistakenly set off the alarm a couple times. I never have used that feature except by mistake and it always ****** me off. Now it won’t work no matter how hard I press the damn button.:mad:
that's why you need the AJT case, the buttons are recessed plus you can have different colors and the rubber won't wear out because it doesn't have any

I don’t care for the looks of that case at all. Plus I’d still hit that button, I always do it when it’s all cluster fu*ked up in my pocket. My button lettering never wore out , just the black on the metal edges did. A new one was only $11.

I called a couple local dealers, and the closest they found for me was another dealer in N.M., so called them.. price for the hose itself was over $100, then add tax and he had no idea what shipping would be.. so I ordered the one Mark found me on fleabay.. looks legit..! Hoping so.. thanks to you @915_Tahoe , and @Rocket Man ..!

After having someone try to steal 3 of my four vehicles, I like the fob from Viper...
I have my viper on there as well, however when autostarting in the morning the oem fob will activate the heated seats, the viper will not, idatalink sells modules to make it work with the viper I just haven't pursued it.

favor?? any way you can look up the front valance (part number) for a 2016-2018 1500 silverado z71 midnight edition (w/tow hooks) ? I am thinking about deleting the chrome mustache and that is the way, I don't have a vin for the midnight, I need the one that goes right under the bumper, not the very bottom thin piece
so far I am coming up with 84029800 but not sure if that is correct

I last changed my transmission fluid around 200k miles, and since then I've had a recurring occasional slip from a dead stop, as well as an occasional hesitation when downshifting to pass on the highway. After doing some reading, it seems the symptoms may be traced back to my using Dexron 6, when the vehicle calls for Dexron 3. Dexron 6 is supposedly backwards compatible, but after doing some research it seems the viscosity rating is lower for Dexron 6, meaning the fluid is thinner, which can apparently mess with fluid pressure in higher mileage transmissions.

Today I changed the fluid back to Dexron 3, and will drive it for a while to see if it solves my slip/hesitation issue.

I have never heard of that. My understanding is Dex 6 is just an improvement to Dex 3. I have also heard from my trans builder that trans fluid is trans fluid, the trans doesn’t care if it’s the cheapest or most expensive. I’m curious to see what you observe.

Ah crap..! I just used Dex6 as well…

Lol. I just read several threads on BITOG and the consensus as far as I read was the viscosity when cold is thinner with Dex 6 but not after it warms up, and Dex 6 has better shear properties. Several members stated they think their older transmissions shift better with Dex 6. Also to note- this post is wrong concerning compatibility. Dex 6 is compatible with Dex 3. You don’t need to change all the fluid out in order to run 6. But don’t use Dex3 in a trans designed for Dex6. There’s so much disinformation out there. I’m not going any further down that rabbit hole. Reminds me of the slip/ non slip additive in the G80’s. So many opinions, so few facts.
