Hey folks, new to the forum, but after some searching didn’t find any posts dedicated to deals from dealerships. Thinking of trading in our Escalade for a 2022 Yukon Denali. I know dealer stock is going for well over MSRP, but wondering if any one has had luck ordering for under. On the RAM TRX forums we have dealers competing for 11% under MSRP and $9k off. I’m based in Texas (Austin/Houston), but ordered my discounted TRX from a dealer in Iowa. So seeing as there’s a whole lot more Yukon’s produced than TRX’s, I’m assuming there’s got to be a bigger selecation of dealers who will discount an order with deposit.

Anyone get a good deal out there? Preferably in central Texas, but willing to go cross country for the big discounts.

Nope no discounts, none of the 30+ dealers in a 500 mile radius I contacted will even accept GM employee pricing that I’m eligible for but I did find quite a few at msrp. The problem is most incoming vehicles are spoken for and have deposits on them. I’m in the Austin area and the dealerships here are scum, I think Covert is charging 10-15k over msrp.

Agree that Austin area dealers are hard to work with. I think it’s the large cities in Texas in general; too many people will to pay whatever the dealer asks for without trying to negotiate. I was just hoping someone out there had something. Chances are I’ll be ordering from somewhere in the Midwest though.

I’m in michigan and there are several dealerships here that honor GM employee discount and any rebates GM offers at the time. Chevy dealers are the ones I know. I could give u name of a small town local gmc dealer, i dont know if honoring employee pricing

They can slice it any way you want if it makes you feel better..
it’s not whether you really got a good deal, it’s if you perceive you THINK you got a good deal….
That is so apt today. It's not possible to make a good deal at these price and quality levels but i f flush buyers are happy and the baby is still healthy who cares.

I guess MSRP isn’t too bad, but still find it surprsing that no one in the country is taking under MSRP for an order. Just to reiterate what I said earlier, this would be placing an order, and waiting a couple of months for it. Not buying off the lot.

I got lucky with the Iowa Ram dealer that they locked in my trade-in at a fair value. However, that’s always a concern. The best thing to do might be to sell the trade in to givemethevin or something like at the expense of the trade in difference.
